We are a diversified team that builds and owns a diverse set of heavily used customer facing online based applications and payment services. These services are used independently as well as being integrated with major Intuit financial products.
This position provides a rewarding opportunity for an engineer who has the heart and mind to create awesome user experiences while building a sophisticated and robust service that is accessible from all forms (web, mobile, desktop, API). our main customers are small business owners.
As a member of the core development team, you will work on a scrum team with local and remote team members (Boston, MA). Your location will be at the Intuit headquarters in Mountain View, CA.

Gather functional requirements, develop technical specifications, and project and test planning
Participate in full development cycle, from designing/ prototypes to implementation and production, as well as production troubleshooting
Collaborate with teammates to learn and share best practices and knowledge of emerging technologies and their possible use for the service/product we own
Engage with customers' feedback to get a first-hand understanding of their needs and apply the learning to our offerings
Work in a cross-functional team environment
Demonstrate leadership by taking initiatives and influencing the team to deliver optimal solutions and outcomes
Work with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
2+ years' hands on experience developing web based applications or cloud based services
BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
Solid software engineering fundamentals and hands on experience with Java and related technology (Spring, WS, JMS, SQL or NoSQL, real time and async communications)
Knowledge of SOA principles and experience with open source solutions are valuable
Strong and active team player and contributor
Self starter with strong work ethic and demonstrated leadership capabilities
Innovative thinker with a passion for problem-solving
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities and technologies
Solid communication skills, demonstrating ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
Knowledge/experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and engineering best practices
