Company Overview

Intuit is a global technology platform that helps consumers and small businesses overcome their most important financial challenges. Serving more than 100 million customers worldwide with TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

We’re looking for a performance first, creative, and strategic events leader to help grow our global events program. From planning and executing industry events around the world to taking the reins on our large-scale flagship events in London and Sydney (think 800+ attendees), this leader is all about creating unforgettable experiences that drive real business impact. If you’re a pro at building from the ground up, love implementing structure and process, and have the chops to turn events into meaningful customer touchpoints, this might be the perfect fit for you.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to balance the art and science of events—crafting wow-worthy experiences while delivering ROI through sponsorships, lead generation, and customer engagement. You’ll be scaling our events program globally, partnering with teams across the organization, and leading with a collaborative spirit to drive shared ownership and accountability. This leader will have a strong track record of succeeding in “player/coach” roles - bringing both strong strategic skills, seamless cross-functional partnerships and executive-level influence, inspiring data-driven customer empathy and a bent for speed in action and results.

Responsibilities

Build a Global Events Strategy

  • Together with the Lifecycle Marketing Leader develop a clear long-term vision for the global events program and create a strategic plan to deliver against it.
  • Partner with regional leads to understand local priorities and targets and develop a bottoms-up plan to execute a mix of event types, from flagship owned events to smaller regional activations and industry events.
  • Connect every event to measurable business outcomes, including leads, sales, and customer engagement to increase consideration, drive revenue and decrease churn.

Grow and Lead a Team

  • Grow and lead a team of talented event pros across geographies, acting as both a coach and a player.
  • Set your team up for success by creating clear goals, processes, and shared accountability with teams such as Sales, PMM, and Creative.
  • Roll up your sleeves when needed—you’re not afraid to jump in and make things happen.

Deliver Operational Excellence

  • Own and manage the global events budget, ensuring every dollar works hard to deliver value. Find new ways to drive sponsorship revenue and optimize ROI.
  • Build processes, frameworks and workflows to keep everything running smoothly as we onboard and grow the team in a highly cross functionally organization

Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Partner with key teams across Mailchimp such as Sales, Analytics and PMM to ensure events are integrated with broader marketing and business goals.
  • Empower stakeholders by setting them up for success, while confidently prioritizing what matters most.
  • Be the go-to for cross-functional collaboration and bring everyone along for the ride.

Innovate and Experiment

  • Test and learn. Build experimentation into your approach and optimize event formats, tactics, and experiences to increase engagement and deliver the best business outcomes.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and find creative ways to keep our events fresh, memorable, and impactful.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of event management experience, including large-scale global events and multi-region programs. Ideally, a significant amount of these years of experience should be in B2B
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
  • Deep expertise in event design, sponsorships, and measuring ROI.
  • A collaborative, organized, and flexible mindset—you can navigate complexity with ease.
  • Strong business savvy with a clear understanding of how events drive meaningful outcomes for customers and the company.
  • A willingness to experiment, learn, and push boundaries to create events that leave a lasting impression.
  • Strong influencing and communications skills across all levels up to executive
  • Ability to prioritize and make strategic choices, specifically narrowing from a range of opportunities to highest-impact levers, balancing short and long term business outcomes
  • Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills
  • “Builder” mentality - demonstrated success building and overhauling programs and businesses
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation and interpersonal communication skills; storyteller
  • Detail-oriented, sweating the details to deliver awesome
  • Strong results orientation and decision making skills; prior experience in a “growth” oriented role preferred
