The Intuit desktop tax products are market leaders in their space and generate $1B of revenue across TurboTax and Pro products. Over 30M tax returns are filed in the US & Canada through our 6 desktop products. Due to the sticky nature of these products,there exists tremendous growth potential through Live services on the TurboTaxspace and attach offerings (Tax Advisor, eSig, Hosting) in Pro space which are the strategic growth areas fo rConsumer Group and Professional tax Group respectively. We will continue to preserve our market share while driving business growth through our large desktop customer base.

With the transition of all desktop tax offerings to India, we now have an opportunity to drive business growth through attach, increase revenue retention and mitigate legacy technology and skills risk by bringing these technologies and services together under one leader to help consolidate and rationalize multiple legacy tech stacks across these products and developing services that enable adoption of Intuit ecosystem capabilities across our desktop ecosystem.

To help move us into the future we are hiring a new Vice President of Desktop & Services.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of product development experience with BS/MS in Computer Science or Equivalent
• Proven track record of success and significant experience in a fast-paced, leading software development projects with working knowledge of desktop & online development.
• Demonstrated strength managing and developing diverse direct and 3rd party engineering organizations. Prefer an individual with experience and proven ability to manage an organization of 100+ with ability to scale, including across geographies.
• Proven track record of delivering successful world-class, large-scale, critical multimillion-dollar software projects on time, on budget and with s operational excellence…all in support of large, growing, established businesses, as well as new businesses.
• Experience in an agile/iterative, life cycle development processes and deriving best practices.
• Experience in managing and executing complex system integration - effectively exercising build/buy/partner principles.

Responsibilities

●       This leader will align and execute on the Consumer & Professional Tax Groups execution strategy on desktop in the US & Canada.

• Drive and execute Technology strategy that create new vectors of growth by leveraging Intuit Platform capabilities (e.g. TurboTax Live and Full Service growth in TurboTax & Attach growth in Pro).
• Build and enhance tax services and capabilities that can drive growth across the Intuit ecosystem (e.g. depreciation & fixed assets for Big Bet 5, Strategy service for Advisory and Planning)
• Rationalize capabilities across the desktop to leverage common capabilities across the tax ecosystem to drive
• Build and execute talent strategy to retain and grow critical skills and manage enterprise risk
• The VP of Desktop & Services will also provide leadership at Intuit India site level beyond the direct organization and product responsibilities. As a member of the Intuit India Steering team, you will be responsible to help make critical decisions for the site, drive/sponsor site wide and Intuit wide programs like Women in technology or managers community etc.
• As a key member of the product development Senior Leadership Team, responsible for overall leadership of the Product Development organization creating an environment that motivates a bright and technically diverse engineering organization. This leader will create a well-integrated and highly effective team across multiple geographies to ensure CG offerings are aligned and integrated with the overall enterprise technology strategy and roadmap.
• As a member of the Senior Leadership team, significantly contribute to the long-term strategy of the Tax Ecosystem and its products and services. The executive activities involve decision-making at the Intuit enterprise level.
• This position must continuously focus on building and developing engineering and leadership talent that has the business acumen and technical capability to deliver world class products.
• Provide architectural and engineering leadership through setting the strategy, developing priorities and managing operating mechanisms that drive a highly effective and efficient development organization. Continuously create and manage the development environment and cross-functional partnerships that create a rigorous focus on process, business and product innovation.
• Continue on our technology refresh journey toward a common platform, agile processes, and a globally successful strategy.
