Job Overview
Intuit’s Finance team drives business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership. Our team is comprised of finance, accounting, supply chain, corporate strategy & development and tax professionals that support and enhance Intuit's operating efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English. Second European Language desirable.
- 4+ years proven relevant experience is required.
- Qualified accountant; CA/ACA/CPA or equivalent.
- Strong technical (US GAAP & EMEA local GAAP) and financial accounting expertise.
- Strong technical accounting skills; ability to research and understand technical details, but also interpret and present in lay terms to non-technical finance and other business partner.
- Analytical thinker who can identify and implement effective processes improvements.
- Large accounting software package expertise (Oracle financials preferred).
Responsibilities
- Full oversight of entity month end close activities and reporting.
- Works closely & in partnership with International US GAAP accounting shared services centre as well as COSA to ensure timely and accurate entity close.
- Calculates and posts technically complex/once off journal entries & balance sheet reconciliations as required.
- Reviews month end close activities of other team members as required.
- Completes monthly P&L and balance sheet analytical review with commentary, trend analysis on revenue & close review with FP&A & other key stakeholders.
- Presents quarterly balance sheet fluctuation commentary to CAO.
- Ensures adherence to Intuit Accounting policies.
- Participates in monthly SSC KPI review – ensuring adherence to SLA.
- Researches and prepares technical accounting position papers on local accounting issues (US GAAP & Local GAAP) as well as impacts to entity of new/changes to accounting standards.
- Presents updates on changes to applicable entity Accounting standards to CAO.
- Ensures implementation of internal controls, facilitates SOx Compliance, including key & non key control report validation.
- Owns and acts as POC for annual statutory audit with external auditors & provides support as required to support regular internal audits.
- Prepares statutory bridge reconciliation from US GAAP to local GAAP on secondary ledger.
- Prepares annual statutory financial statements with input from local accounting & tax advisors as required and presents results to CAO.
- Owns transfer pricing process for entity, works with Corporate Tax to ensure appropriate agreements in place, highlights & assesses local business changes that may impact current structure & ensuring timely calculation and settlement.
- Drives completion & filings of Corporate Tax Returns, liaising with external advisors and internal CT team.
- Drives completion & filings of Indirect Tax/VAT Returns, liaising with external advisors and internal teams where necessary.
- Participates in research of technical taxation issues affecting regional legal entity, ensuring full documentation of conclusions & positions in white papers.
- Participates in local entity tax audits/inspections.
- Completes statutory and taxation checklist to support filing of corporate and statutory returns.
- Full ownership of all other statutory compliance filings for entity. Researches and documents process for completion of each filing.
- Legal Entity structuring – assists with creation, liquidation & dissolution of legal entities as required to maintain optimal group structure.
- Creates and maintains awareness with local business partners of local and statutory compliance reporting obligations. Highlights and works to ensure localisation of accounting systems to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Supports systems implementation projects by defining entity requirements, performing testing and supporting launch.
- Oversight of Treasury management, FX management & cashflow forecasting.
- Supports other compliance requirements of entity as required (FCA, AML).
- Supports & facilitates entity GTM offerings through thought leadership.
- Participate in cross training and coverage of other areas of responsibility within the accounting team.
- Influences team priorities & coaches/teaches peers.
- Forms strong working relationships with other business partners including; GBS FP&A, COSA, Treasury, Legal, FEBS, Local GTM teams, Strategic Partnerships.
- Actively identifies & supports change. Leads change that impacts entity with some guidance from manager.
- Undertakes project work beyond function as a learning opportunity and actively develops new methods & processes supporting change.
- Identifies key stakeholders & decision makers; learns how they receive information while engaging others using inquiry & active listening.
- Various project and ad hoc analysis to support business decisions. Aid internal customers in compiling financial information; provide technical advice and analytical support.
