Our mission at QuickBooks is to help small businesses prosper. Our top priority to do this is to connect people to experts, coupling our world-class accounting software subscription with the help of experts. This role will define what the resulting service offerings are for the Small Business and Self-Employed business unit portfolio, bring them to market and grow them into our next set of multi-billion dollar offerings.

Join the highly talented team as the Director of New Service Offerings for QuickBooks, responsible for defining, launching and scaling offerings that connect small business owners with the expert help they need. You will set the strategy and drive priorities to establish new service offerings, design service experiences to maximize value to customers, and define service standards for our full portfolio of existing and emerging expert service offerings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a senior business leader driving transformative experiences at scale in highly matrixed organizations and through a combination of technology and human assisted services
  • Dynamic people leader who can rally broad cross-functional teams to a single customer-driven purpose, creating momentum quickly and establishing an operating model to maintain rapid progress
  • Provide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model
  • Impeccable executive communication at the most senior levels, written and oral, prepared and impromptu, to drive transparency on progress and clarity on direction
  • End to end and analytical leader, leveraging tools like blueprints to understand the state of an offering and diagnose key opportunities
  • Outcome driven and execution oriented leader who breaks down bold objectives into actionable and measurable tasks
  • Drive cultural change across the organization to deliver next generation of QuickBooks offerings
  • Experience leading highly matrixed complex large organizations to provide world-class service to millions of customers in an online, connected world
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and thrives in high visibility environments
  • Create an environment where teams can do the best work of their lives in service to the success of our customers every day

Responsibilities

This role is directly accountable for (1) defining the value customers will experience from our offering (2) establishing how they will experience it including the processes and priorities experts will follow to deliver value and (3) optimizing the processes, standards and experience in service to creating break-through experiences that tip the odds of success in favor of our small business customers.  

You’ll build a team of highly innovative, analytical and customer-obsessed leaders to establish the priorities that cross-functional teams including product, analytics, operations and service delivery work together to deliver. They will design every aspect of the service experience, measure the value being generated to customers, and maintain an evergreen view of the top issues that need to be addressed to get to breakthrough experiences that change the game for our customers.

 

We are looking for a seasoned and highly structured, analytical leader for whom operations is a towering strength, who can land difficult decisions in highly matrixed organizations, consistently show a bias for action and above all, delight in serving our customers. Candidates must have a proven track record for designing and growing new-to-the-world service-based offerings that leverage technology for scale and consistency.
