Intuit’s Small Business and Self-Employed Group (SBSEG) is devoted to creating solutions to power prosperity around the world, meeting the needs and improving the chances of success for these entrepreneurs with a portfolio of solutions ranging from mileage tracking to invoicing, payroll to accounting, payments and lending.

Come join the QuickBooks Marketing Team as a Group Marketing Manager for QuickBooks Online Advanced. In this role, you are the business leader and will develop marketing and product marketing strategies that’ll drive this product offering, delivering value to its customer base and revenue growth for Intuit’s Small Business Group.

Part of the U.S. Marketing team for QuickBooks, the Online Advanced GTM Team is seeking a seasoned people manager with strong strategic skills, seamless cross-functional partnerships and executive-level influence, inspiring data-driven customer empathy and a bent for speed in action and results. As the QuickBooks Online Advanced GTM Leader, you will develop go-to-market plans for Advanced products and manage a team of subject matter experts.

We’re looking for a forward thinking self-starter who has experience translating customer insights into strong marketing plans, with a reputation as a multiplying leader and talent magnet. You’ll be challenged to think boldly, move fast, and have a big impact on our customers’ lives, their livelihoods, and the QuickBooks brand trajectory.

What you'll bring

  • BA/BS required, MBA preferred
  • 5-7 years of product marketing in B2B and with mid-market experience is required. Including familiarity with MM lifecycles, personas and B2B marketing best practices
  • 7-10 years B2B marketing and/or marketing experience (SaaS or technology), brand management and channel marketing
  • Experience creating and executing of marketing plans and managing external advertising agencies and internal partners
  • Strong people leader with experience with managing direct teams of 10+ ppl of FTE and contractors with demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to translate consumer insight and business strategies into great execution
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and lead a team to deliver strong results
  • Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation and interpersonal communication skills, as well as an effective communicator at all levels
  • Strong results and quant orientation, with background in portfolio principles/SaaS pricing models/alternate business models
  • Strong analytical and problem solving orientation with clear examples of using data actively for target setting, measurement, ROI analysis and recommendations
  • Strong ability to forge and storytell to cross-functional partnerships (sales, finance, product, billing)
  • Seeks out learning’s & best practices to apply with their team. Helps their team make their learning ‘s explicit & shares these with other groups
  • Leads and influences effectively within the organization and builds strong relationships to deliver outstanding results in a collaborative fashion with limited resources
  • Ability to prioritize and make strategic choices, specifically narrowing from a range of opportunities to highest impact near term levers
  • Excited by ambiguity and the unknown, not afraid of complexity and breaking problems down into smaller pieces to tackle, and an innovative mindset, ability to lead organization in best path to learn fast with a strong bias for action/urgency

How you will lead

  • Lead a go-to market team responsible for all product launch, road map and Mid-Market initiatives with a focus on QuickBooks Online Advanced offerings, including payments, payroll and 3rd party apps.
  • Work closely with business and marketing teams to identify “new to the franchise” (NTTF), new customer acquisition, xsell, upsell and E2E platform solutions opportunities across mid-market to provide key positioning and content assets to help drive demand.
  • Identified key vertical industry segments best suited for QBO Advance, through a comprehensive industry mapping of prospects
  • Work closely with the product management teams to identify new features, including new markets to differentiate for the core target markets and align QuickBooks offering across a competitive landscape.
  • Influence program design and product management teams to ensure product strategy and roadmap are aligned.
  • Rockstar marketer - strong creative chops, that can craft winning value props and claims based on deep customer insights, understand how to build a brand and breakthrough to end customer
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Partner teams to facilitate demand generation with target markets, messaging, positioning and content assets to help drive leads.
  • Develop the go-to-market strategy across key channels including online search, web, direct mail, email, in-product discovery, and mass markets (telesales).
  • Conceptualize campaigns targeting the customer funnel and lifecycle to accelerate acquisition, engagement, and upgrade/upsell
  • Track campaign impact and analyze program results to report on ROI
  • Writing well-articulated creative briefs, driving creative & messaging direction
  • Be key contributor for large scale strategic initiatives, and build the product’s 1-3 year strategic plan, and annual forecasts and product marketing plan
  • Build strong relationships with internal cross-functional partners including Channel Marketing, Sales, Finance, Analytics, Product, Marketing Ops as well as outside agencies and partners
  • Own the business outcomes (P&L) and communicate regular updates to leadership through ongoing forecasting, reporting and root cause analyses
  • Champion the voice of the customer and translate user insights into break-through creative and messaging and product requirements
  • Apply creative problem solving and analytics skills to provide ongoing insight into the business and make recommendations and decisions
  • Create project plans and lead cross-functional teams to execute go to market projects with excellence
  • Make go-forward recommendations and present and share learning and recommendations across the organization
