To deliver on this promise, we are building an AI-driven fraud, risk and money movement platform capability, that powers our FinTech product offerings allowing business groups to integrate ML driven risk-decisioning capabilities into their products (e.g. KYC, AML, Transaction Monitoring, Merchant Monitoring, etc), enable seamless integration of ecosystem variables leveraging structured and unstructured data sources and 3P products.

We are part of the Small Business and Self-Employed Group (SBSEG), focused on scaling the risk and money movement platform capabilities for SBSEG and the larger Intuit ecosystem. In this role, your focus would be to lead the transformation of the underlying fraud, risk and money movement decision engine that supports our critical area of focus (Revolutionize speed to benefit, and infuse AI into our fraud and risk lifecycle end-to-end, with the ultimate goal of making Intuit the safest and the most trusted place for our customers to transact).

We are a global risk and money movement platform that serves all Intuit business segments. This platform enables rapid development of risk and fraud policies to detect, prevent, and eradicate product gaps that enable bad actors to defraud Intuit and its customers. We are seeking a principal product manager on our team who would build the vision and roadmap to developing novel AI-driven methods into our risk decision engine, architecture and infrastructure to accelerate our policy and AI/ML teams vision and elevate risk controls, in service of our business growth strategy. Experiencing in building and launching AI focused products, technical skills and experience with go-to-market in a fast paced business environment is a must. Our customers and partners are strongly technical and this role requires strong display of driving technical partnership and influence leading to strong business outcomes. Product Owner:  Creates and evangelizes a killer roadmap that inspires the organization in service of our customers; can deploy impact-driven prioritization frameworks; can use and teach agile methodologies; can mentor junior PMs

Customer Champion: Has deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitor insights; is obsessed with solving customer problems; stays close to the customer, industry trends and connected ecosystem to bring unique differentiation to the small business experiences

Influencing Skills: Able to build consensus using data, metrics, and analysis to drive business and system strategy;  skilled in stakeholder management and communication at all levels of the organization;  can effectively tailor communications to the appropriate audience to ensure broad alignment, awareness, and advocacy of the product

Technical Complexity:  Manages a high degree of difficulty and instills rigor in the analysis, modelling, and unblocking teams on company wide dependencies. These dependencies include integrating with existing services, support convergence with future architecture and infrastructure, and building scalable solutions that extend across the company. Has in-depth understanding of building platforms, use of AI/ML in the decision making process, and demonstrated experience in building solutions that scale. 

Impact: Delivers artifacts that drive decision making on critical staffing levels, service levels, and expenses

Execution: Initiates the design, development, and implementation of analysis projects that optimize automated vs. manual decisions; applies  analytical principles/concepts to problems; makes informed trade-offs to deliver results; coordinates seamless go-to-market activities

Domain Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of AI / machine learning (build and deploy ML models). Strong understanding of building platforms required (components, system design, AWS/Cloud architecture, etc.).  Payment industry and associated risks knowledge preferred but not required. Ability to apply analytical principles, tools, and techniques required.

What you'll bring

  • 8+ years of product management experience in the e-commerce, internet, or fintech industries
  • 4 or more years of experience working in the ML/AI domain; track record of working with AI/ML/Data Science, Engineering, Risk and Legal teams to define, build, and maintain highly-scalable, mission-critical systems
  • Full stack knowledge of building platform, micro service architecture, Cloud (AWS) architecture, ML infrastructure and architecture, risk and fraud modelling and controls
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a data-informed mindset; passion for solving problems (large and small) that result in tangible, measurable results; experience using data and metrics to test hypotheses, validate assumptions and measure success
  • Deep customer empathy and curiosity; deeply understands customer experience and pain points using usability studies, customer interactions, experiments, and aggregated feedback from internal customer facing teams
  • Continuously tests and learns and leverages customer insights to inform product decisions and recommendations
  • Proficient in defining well-thought out user stories, with thorough acceptance criteria and use cases
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills; proven ability to handle complex and sensitive situations involving competing priorities

  • Technically conversant; experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team within an interactive process and an Agile development methodology
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degree a plus
  • 10% or less travel to other locations based on work requirements

How you will lead

  • Leads and drives the strategic vision of the decision engine to support building the AI-first global risk platform and policy lifecycle management
  • Owns the short term and long term roadmap, including managing the ongoing changes to business priorities and engineering operational excellence to ensure on-time delivery
  • Drives merchant and transactional risk execution across all business units within Intuit’s Small Business segment (Payments, Capital, Payroll)
  • Improves performance to plan by identifying, measuring and managing key metrics related to the our delivery model
  • Creates and maintains an optimized and logically sequenced roadmap. Creates and owns the success metrics, dashboards, and delivery. Anticipates and resolves strategic issues that impair the team's ability to deliver
  • Communicates frequently and clearly with other teams and leaders. Ruthlessly prioritizes the team’s backlog and works across teams to drive work in other areas that deliver value for our customers.
