Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Intuit has a unique opportunity to lead the fintech industry in solving the most painful problem small business owners face -- managing their money. 82% of small businesses that fail experience a cash flow challenge. Small businesses already turn to QuickBooks to manage much of their money -- they use QuickBooks to send over $1 Trillion of invoices each year, to record over $1 Trillion of bills, and to run over $115 Billion in payroll annually. 32% of small businesses can’t pay their payees, lenders, employees, or themselves due to cash flow problems. But, even with a stable cash position, paying bills can be quite a burden. SMBs have to keep track of due dates, set up payment reminders in multiple ways, transfer funds, visit the bank, mail checks, follow up on payments, and balance their books. Every business has a different bill pay workflow.

As we accelerate our mission to put small businesses in complete control of their money, we are looking for a world class product manager to join the team to lead the Bill Payment platform globally.  The Embedded Fintech platform team is an integral and crucial part of realizing that vision. Our mission is to ensure the experience of paying and being paid is as seamless, personal and ubiquitous as possible. As a Product Manager (PM) on Intuit’s Embedded Fintech platform team, you'll be responsible for helping shape this experience, thus impacting the business growth and engagement. You will bring bold thinking, a deep passion for solving customer problems, an exceptional ability to accelerate velocity, and drive industry leading FinTech innovation. We are looking for candidates who have strong product management experience in platform services with deep technical understanding, customer empathy, strong execution capability, and a track record of building strong business partnerships and delivering impactful business results.

What you’ll bring

Key attributes:

Product Expert: Owns end-to-end product experience; brings demonstrated experience building or supporting platform level capabilities that support creating tests and experiments to drive growth, or decision evaluation.

Problem Solver: Knows when and how to be scrappy and entrepreneurial, hypothesis driven and analytical; exercises strong judgment when balancing risks and while making trade-off decisions

Product Owner:  Creates and evangelizes a killer roadmap that inspires the organization in service of our customers; can deploy impact-driven prioritization frameworks; can use and teach agile methodologies

Customer Champion: Has deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and competitor insights; is obsessed with solving customer problems; stays close to the customer, industry trends and connected ecosystem to bring unique differentiation to the small business experiences

Influencing Skills: Able to build consensus using data, metrics, and analysis to drive business and system strategy;  skilled in stakeholder management and communication at all levels of the organization;  can effectively tailor communications to the appropriate audience to ensure broad alignment, awareness, and advocacy of the product

Technical Complexity:  Manages a high degree of difficulty and instills rigor in the analysis, modeling, and unblocking teams on company wide dependencies. These dependencies include integrating with existing services, support convergence with future architecture and infrastructure, and building scalable solutions that extend across the company. As a platform PM, you are a builder that enjoys being in the weeds with the engineering teams and obsesses about customer needs, partner needs, and developer needs. You have technical aptitude and you enjoy working on problems around scale, maintainability, and architectural design for product lines, building beautiful, simple APIs, and are able to clearly communicate what the service does in a way that lets users integrate with it easily

Impact: Delivers artifacts that drive decision making on critical staffing levels, service levels, and expenses

Execution: Initiates the design, development, and implementation of analysis projects that optimize automated vs. manual decisions; applies  analytical principles/concepts to problems; makes informed trade-offs to deliver results; coordinates seamless go-to-market activities

Domain Knowledge: Deep expertise in payments / financial services product management preferred, both on B2B and B2C sides. Proven passion for building platforms and products at scale.
