The Consumer Group’s products and services including TurboTax, Mint and Turbo do just that for tens of millions of consumers.
Intuit’s Consumer Group is seeking a Director of Technical Program Management/Chief of Staff to lead the successful delivery of the portfolio of technical programs and capabilities across the Product Development organization. The Director of Technical Program Management will report directly to the leader of the Consumer Group Program Office.
As a member of the Program Office and Product Development leadership teams, this individual will leverage their broad experience to solve problems and implement new program efficiencies to deliver successfully. This individual will collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong program and project management leadership track record, and will draw upon solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to effectively manage the key programs most vital to the team. It is essential that the individual be able to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust and respect throughout the organization at all levels, and be viewed as a team player. The individual must have deep experience managing programs within a constantly evolving organization to support our rapid growth. As the Chief of Staff, you will support a Senior Vice President with an organization of 1600 FTE.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of solid experience in program management within a fast moving technology driven organization
- Strong technology background, preferably direct software development experience
- Strong program management skills, including demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, lead long-term programs, and manage multiple programs simultaneously
- Strong track record of program delivery for large cross-functional, cross-organizational programs
- Experience attracting, hiring and maintaining top talent
- Strong business management ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Demonstrated experience developing and coaching team members
- Bachelors degree required
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree
- Experience working within a high-growth, SaaS technology company
- Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the creation of the product development portfolio including breaking down the portfolio into work that can be owned and managed by program or delivery teams
- Develop and manage the reporting structure to provide senior leadership with an independent analysis of the overall portfolio health and visibility into individual program status including a focus on risk mitigation and issue resolution
- Collaborate with the product delivery teams to manage dependencies across the Consumer Group and Intuit to effectively deliver business results and programs
- Drive tradeoffs, discussions, and decisions across the portfolio by providing senior leadership with options, data, recommendations, and principles behind the decision making process
- Adjust the portfolio as needed to changes ensuring continuous speedy delivery against business outcomes
- Lead and develop a team of high caliber managers and program managers to drive delivery and create an environment where program managers are doing the best work of their lives
- Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning to mature the Program Management craft and build a strong community of Program Managers
- Be a catalyst within the organization, someone who can help advance our Product & Technology strategy globally and drive others in the organization to change
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is CA $210,000 - $284,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
