Overview

This is the first Field Sales Manager for the Rest of World business supporting the Small Business & Self-Employed Group (SBSEG), responsible for standing up an offshore team and managing third party Business Development Managers (BDMs) who actively build new relationships with Accountants to generate customer and revenue growth, and build mutually valuable long-term relationships. The Manager will be responsible for building a high performing team through our third-party partner, Concentrix, that delivers against the defined objectives for their area of responsibility, across Singapore and Malaysia. The role will involve partnering with Concentrix to develop this first-ever, on-the-ground BDM model, training Development Managers in line with the Intuit Sales Academy and delivering against new accountant, customer & revenue targets.

Intuit Rest of World Sales team is at the forming stages and desires to become a multi-channel organization focused on building customer confidence by providing Advisor and Small Business expertise in every interaction. The Concentrix sales managers will be expected to understand how Accountants, Bookkeepers and Small Businesses work, the challenges they face, know the Intuit ecosystem of products, tailor solutions and counter competitor solutions to specific customer needs uncovered in the sales cycle.  Across all of our channels and workgroups, our Sales organisation is responsible for acquiring new accountants, bookkeepers and small businesses, boosting our fast growing subscriber base, revenue and growing our existing customers usage of the Intuit ecosystem of products.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • 5+ years of field consultative sales experience in a technology environment selling complex solutions and/or SaaS offerings to a business via Value Added Resellers/VARs.
  • 2+ years experience managing a field sales team with more than 3 team team members
  • Experience with Salesforce as a CRM, forecasting and pipeline management
  • Leadership experience, including demonstrated ability to set goals, gain shared vision, negotiate resolutions, meet commitments, and garner respect from other team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Customer-focused - tenacious about understanding customer behaviours, and passionate about delighting customers at every touch point they have with Intuit.
  • Proven track record of experience meeting or exceeding quota in a highly consultative sales environment
  • Sales analytics skills in monitoring and managing a pipeline and team effectiveness
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work internally, across all business functions
  • Displayable change-management success  
  • Accounting Industry experience desired, but not mandatory
  • Analytical mindset – Be able to support your case for change with data, and structure tests that deliver conclusive and actionable outcomes. Continuously learn with rapid experimentation
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment focused on growth
  • Experience of sales management in consultative selling
  • Ideally experience in managing change
  • Fluency in multiple Asian languages will be an added bonus.

How you will lead

  • Build and lead a high performing offshore sales team of Sales Agents to drive exceptional customer experience and achieve customer growth & revenue goals
  • Team leadership for Sales Development Managers (levels 1-2) and Business Development Managers (levels 1-3)
  • Work with Sales Operations, Learning & Performance and Marketing to ensure alignment and plans in place to support team efficiency, performance and sales growth 
  • Provide continuous support, sales coaching and training aligned to the Intuit Sales Academy
  • Collaborate across Intuit to share and learn best practices to continue to drive growth and to implement process improvement
  • Quickly test new ideas, using our Innovation practices (CDI/D4D), combining data and insight to learn and innovate rapidly
  • Ensure effective use of Intuit Work Resources to best manage team and pipeline to allow effective reporting and weekly forecasting
  • Take full accountability for defined targeted customers, using metrics to monitor performance and understand results and drivers of performance, while developing contingency plans to address shortfalls on a weekly basis
  • Innovate in the business model as appropriate, incorporating best practices from other companies and from within Intuit
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and set of cross functional business unit colleagues to drive results
  • Management and accountability of your team’s operating budget
