Job Overview
Come join the Virtual Experts Platform (VEP) as a Senior Manager of Engineering. VEP powers AI-driven digital expertise and AI-assisted human expertise for all Intuit customers to ensure customers who enter the Intuit ecosystem never experience a ‘dead-end’ and always have a trusted expert by their side to help them along the way. VEP is core to Intuit’s Big Bet 2 and serves every single customer and that touches all the products across the tech ecosystem including expertise-led offerings such as TurboTax Live, TurboTax FullService, QuickBooks Live.
We are looking for seasoned technology leader with platform mind and experience in building and running highly performant solutions at scale. In this role you will lead a team of high-performing engineers driving the expansion of the platform to a global platform, developing new capabilities. You will draw upon deep technical expertise, solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to steer the platform with a futuristic vision and innovation. You will quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization at all levels, and be viewed as a team player. This leader partners closely with product management, product development, internal partner platforms, compliance, and site reliability leaders across Intuit.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, experience in leading multiple initiatives is strongly desired
- 4+ years’ experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered impactful business solutions
- Hands on engineering leader who can nurture working with highly motivated and extremely talented engineers to work on high visibility online products
- Extremely familiar with end-to-end concepts development and technologies.
- Proficiency in one or more key technologies including React, Java, Javascript, NoSQL· Proficient in front-end and back-end architecture & design
- Understanding of industry-leading technology/solutions in APIs, SDKs, SaaS
- Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams
- Ability to think and act strategically for all stakeholders. Adept at articulating the product vision and driving the future roadmap with strong business acumen
- Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track in a distributed global engineering ecosystem best practices, and developer platforms and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of industry best practices, technologies, architectures and emerging technologies
- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience
- Someone with strong belief in agile and lean thinking have a passion for developer velocity, engineering and operational excellence
- Strong business acumen. Understands the business internal and external landscape and thinks/acts strategically for all stakeholders
- Drives strategic technology/engine reuse, technology and architecture health, and development process improvement
- Expert communicator and love working with multiple stakeholders for common outcomes with high stakes at company level

- Your team will create and bring capabilities to market that simplify and solve for current customer needs while building for the future. You will leverage capabilities across the company and build capabilities for everybody to use
- To accomplish this, you will create a shared vision and build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships / alignment with partners across the business (e.g. Product Management, Design, Program Mgmt, Data analytics etc). As an M2, you will also work across the segment to build strong relationships to deliver on ambiguous and complex problems together
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $181,500 – 245,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
