Job Overview

Intuit Mailchimp is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager, Mid-Market Sales Development to lead and coach our growing outbound SDR team. This is a hybrid role, based out of our Atlanta office. You will play a crucial role in building a best-in-class pre-sales organization in support of our rapid upmarket penetration. This team is focused on strategically breaking into new mid-market companies, driving pipeline, and enabling opportunities to bring the value of Mailchimp's omnichannel marketing platform to businesses looking to improve customer engagement, monetization, and retention.

Responsibilities

Strategic Pipeline Generation & Market Penetration:

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to effectively break into and penetrate new mid-market accounts, opening opportunities to sell Mailchimp's omnichannel marketing platform.
  • Lead the creation and continuous refinement of outbound sequences and playbooks, optimizing for engagement and meeting booking effectiveness.
  • Drive the implementation of persona-based messaging and tailored value propositions to resonate with diverse mid-market customer segments.
  • Champion the adoption and effective utilization of modern sales technologies, including AI agents and other productivity tools, to amplify the SDR team's reach and efficiency.
  • Ensure the SDRs effectively collaborate with their AE partners (1 SDR : 3 AE ratio) to strategically penetrate target mid-market companies.
  • Drive the generation of new qualified sales pipeline through proactive outreach via email, phone, and social channels.
  • Verify SDRs effectively articulate the value proposition of Mailchimp's omnichannel marketing platform, including email, SMS, and transactional products.
  • Ensure leads are qualified based on established criteria and seamlessly transitioned to partnered AEs.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Coach, monitor, and inspire 8-12 SDRs daily, providing actionable feedback to enhance performance.
  • Lead performance management and career development for team members, fostering their growth within the organization and preparing them for future roles.
  • Design and execute comprehensive talent development and career pathing programs for SDRs.
  • Energize the team around ambitious daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
  • Work closely on the ground with SDRs out of the same location, with some SDRs potentially working remotely.

Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams across Revenue Operations, Product Marketing, Sales Readiness, etc., to build and execute strategies to scale new customer growth.
  • Work closely with Mid-Market AE Managers to identify breakthrough engagement strategies and improve overall pipeline generation.
  • Identify key gaps in the business by leveraging metrics and observation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and lead qualifications in our CRM system.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience within SaaS sales organizations, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role, preferably managing an SDR or BDR team in an outbound environment.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing outbound sales strategies that result in pipeline generation and revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of modern sales methodologies, sales technology (CRM, Sales Engagement Platforms, AI tools), and prospecting best practices.
  • Experience with building and refining outbound sequences, persona-based messaging, and sales playbooks.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficient in leveraging data and metrics to drive insights and improve performance.
  • High level of business acumen and a foundational understanding of marketing concepts.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building trust and engagement across diverse teams.
  • Strong drive for results, adaptability, and the ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competitive, collaborative, and highly creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce), Sales Engagement Platform (Outreach), and prospecting tools (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo).

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $125000 - $171000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
