Job Overview

Intuit is looking for a highly motivated Manager 2, Accounting to join the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) organization as a key leader within the CAO Shared Services in Bangalore, India. This role is critical in managing the Shared Services, driving its expansion and transformation. Optimize accounting operations while ensuring alignment with US GAAP, compliance, and reporting. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for scaling best-in-class Shared Services operations while driving continuous improvement, automation, and workforce planning to maximize efficiency.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Strategic Growth & Expansion – Identifying and managing new transitions to expand Shared Services’ scope and enhance efficiency.
  • Process Transformation & Automation – Leveraging AI, RPA, and automation to streamline operations, optimize capacity, and drive process contraction.
  • Workload Optimization & Governance – Ensuring resource allocation aligns with business needs, keeping the team engaged, motivated, and high-performing.
  • Leadership & Talent Development – Building and mentoring a strong finance team, fostering career growth and a culture of excellence.
  • Stakeholder Influence & Executive Communication – Collaborating with cross-functional leaders (Controllership, Treasury, AP, AR, Payroll, FP&A, Legal, etc.), influencing decision-making, and communicating complex matters in a concise, strategic manner.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth & Expansion
    • Identify and manage transitions of new accounting processes into Shared Services, expanding its impact and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across the globe to assess, plan, and execute process transitions seamlessly.
  • Process Transformation & Automation
    • Drive continuous improvement and process optimization using AI, RPA, and automation to enhance efficiency.
    • Reduce manual efforts, drive contraction, and reallocate capacity to higher-value initiatives.
    • Foster a continuous improvement mindset to evolve Shared Services into a more value-driven organization
  • Operational Excellence & Governance
    • Manage month-end close processes for US GAAP, including but not limited to Compensation & Equity Accounting, Technical Accounting Review of Purchase Requisitions, SEC Reporting, Balance Sheet Flux Analysis etc.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, SOX compliance, and strong internal controls.
    • Anticipate risks and assess regulatory or process changes that impact Shared Services operations.
  • Leadership & Talent Development
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, ensuring clear career paths, upskilling, and engagement.
    • Monitor effective workload distribution, ensuring the right people are working on the right tasks
    • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Stakeholder Influence & Executive Communication
    • Influence leadership through concise, data-driven insights.
    • Navigate discussions on complex topics and simplify key takeaways for senior executives.
    • Act as a strategic business partner, working closely with cross-functional teams across Intuit’s global ecosystem.
    • Represent Shared Services in leadership discussions, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • CA/CPA with 13+ years of accounting experience in large MNCs, preferably in Software/SaaS and Shared Services.
  • Strong US GAAP expertise, with a proven track record in financial close, reporting, compliance, and accounting operations.
  • Experience managing process transitions, expanding Shared Services scope, and driving operational efficiencies through automation
  • Ability to develop long-term strategies while ensuring seamless day-to-day execution.
  • Proven leadership in scaling high-performing finance teams, fostering career growth and engagement.
  • Strategic problem solver, with strong analytical skills and the ability to anticipate risks and opportunities.
  • Technology-focused mindset, leveraging AI, automation, and finance transformation tools.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in handling accounting tools such as Oracle, Blackline etc.
