Job Overview

We're seeking a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You'll play a key role in building sophisticated, configurable and reusable components across our document comprehension platform that creates an end to end experience for users to train different machine learning/Gen AI based models.

You'll collaborate closely with other engineers to gain valuable cross-functional experience. This role offers the exciting opportunity to expand your skillset beyond platform development and contribute to a wider range of projects, should you have the interest and drive.

Responsibilities

  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years working as a software engineer, ideally using Agile/Scrum
  • Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
  • Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot & Reactive Framework and Web technologies. Python is a plus to have.
  • An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong working knowledge of API development standards like REST/GraphQL, pagination, throttling, caching and routing mechanisms experience are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Splunk, Wavefront, and creating Dashboards and Visualizations
  • Experience with testing as you will be responsible for testing your own code.
  • Experience with Google DocAI + Gemini is a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly, pivot, visualize and own a feature end-to-end.
  • Strong end to end testing mindset, and working knowledge of Front-End and Back-End.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud.
  • Kubernetes/Container platforms based development.
  • Experience working with mature codebases
  • Expertise with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD).
  • "Self-starter" attitude and ability to make decisions independently.
  • Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems.

Qualifications

  • Roughly 75-85% of hands-on coding
  • Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs, and code
  • Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
  • Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE,various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
  • Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
  • Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
  • The result-oriented mindset with an affinity for producing high-quality code
  • Have a customer-focused mindset
  • Building strong teams - set and evangelize vision, facilitative leadership, attract and retain key talent.
