Come join the Virtual Experts Platform (VEP) as a Software Engineer 2. VEP powers AI-driven digital expertise and AI-assisted human expertise for all Intuit customers to ensure customers who enter the Intuit ecosystem never experience a ‘dead-end’ andalways have a trusted expert by their side to help them along the way. VEP is core to Intuit’s Big Bet 2 and serves every single customer and that touches all the products across the tech ecosystem including expertise-led offerings such as TurboTax Live,TurboTax FullService, QuickBooks Live.We are looking for seasoned technology lead with platform mind and experience in building and running highly performant solutions at scale. You will draw upon deep technical expertise, solid analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to steer the platform with a futuristic vision and innovation. You will quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organization at all levels, and be viewed as a team player.This role needs a highly motivated, self-starter with strong problem solving & technical skills. In this role, you will be a trailblazer working on complex features and functions that experts rely on for collaboration with customers to delivering the service. Along with coding, you will be responsible for working with product managers, other developers and designers on our agile team structure. Responsibilities

Acting as the technical subject matter expert: Mentoring fellow engineers, demonstrating technical expertise, and leading a small team solving challenging programming and design problems
Use your coding expertise to design and implement scalable, modular and secure services.
Work as part of a fast-paced scrum team.
Develop, test and deploy your own code.
Leading the gathering of functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience developing in Java Experience with developing backend services using Java, Spring boot.
Experience with Cloud database technologies specifically AWS
Understanding of relational and NOSQL databases
Good experience in building streaming applications
Experience with Data Lake, Kafka, schema modelling
Experience and understanding of Kubernetes will be a plus.
Experience in deploying, testing applications
Experience with git or other version control tools
Ability to utilize automation and orchestration tools to build large scalable systems
Experience with Splunk, Wavefront, and creating Dashboards and Visualizations
Experience with large-volume data pipelines
BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
Solid communication skills Strong understanding of the Software fundamentals.
Experience with testing as you will be responsible for testing your own code.
Experience with the Agile methodology and CI/CD software development
Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems and show extreme ownership
Excellent problem solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
