Job Overview

People who work for themselves fuel our global economy. In the US, small businesses employ 60% of the workforce and create 80% of new jobs; internationally the stats are even more skewed. But the odds are stacked against them. One of two fails in the first five years, two of three before they can turn ten.

This role is part of Intuit’s QuickBooks team delivering on the needs of product based businesses i.e. small and mid sized businesses selling physical products in the space of retail, wholesale and manufacturing. The Business Operations Management team is focused on delivering world class experiences for these businesses so they can run their business and manage their finances in a single place. As a Staff Product Manager on the QuickBooks team, you will build customer experiences that enable small businesses selling products to manage their end to end operations and inventory in a single place thereby fueling their growth. You’ll lead and inspire a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, designers, marketers, customer care, analysts and researchers to deliver best-in-class product experiences. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop product vision, strategy, roadmap, and user stories to deliver an awesome product experience for our customers
  • Collaborate with multiple scrum teams and top engineers, designers, marketers, writers, and support agents to deliver products that change the lives of small business employers
  • Ruthlessly prioritize your team’s backlog and work across teams to drive work in other areas that deliver value for our customers
  • Create and own your success metrics and build your test plan
  • Be bold and be entrepreneurial; foster a culture of innovation and impact
  • Communicate effectively, collaborate, and have a bias towards action
  • Lead by example; plan and conduct experiments to validate solution ideas; challenge the status quo
  • Serve as the domain expert for your product area and continually strive to improve the experience
  • Define lean experiments and quickly learn and iterate based on customer feedback
  • Share knowledge, mentor others; be a product evangelist

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years designing and delivering world-class products in a product management role
  • Inventory management or operations experience a huge plus
  • Experience with working on the needs of small and mid-sized business is a plus
  • Experience with zero to one product launches/new product development 
  • Proven track record of setting product vision and translating it into a product roadmap with excellent end to end execution
  • Proven track record of results that impact revenue directly
  • Insanely curious and data-driven; develops and defends strong points of view with data analytics
  • Passion for solving BIG customer problems
  • Excels in cross functional collaboration 
  • Undergraduate degree required in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Science, Business or related discipline required, MBA or MS a plus. Equivalent professional experience will be considered
