Job Overview

Come join Intuit’s International Accounting & Compliance organization as a Senior Indirect Tax Analyst. Intuit’s Finance team is composed of accounting, tax, FP&A, corporate strategy & development that support and enhance Intuit’s operating efficiencies.

You will act as an adviser to the Intuit group on global indirect tax matters (excluding US). This role is a mixture of advisory and project work combined with some oversight of compliance obligations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing technical indirect tax queries across the group's different product lines e.g. reviewing contracts, new product offerings, new markets
  • Drive continuous improvements in the VAT return process by improving system capabilities, increasing the quality of data used in VAT processes, creating efficient processes and leveraging shared service capabilities
  • Manage and represent indirect tax on finance/IT projects e.g. billing system migrations, review of tax engine configurations
  • Establish close relationships with FP&A to ensure the indirect tax impacts of business and legislation changes are communicated in a timely and clear manner
  • Participate in the monthly accounting close process by ensuring relevant provisions are accurately reflected and preparation/review of balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline
  • Monitor VAT developments and determine business impacts
  • Support the indirect tax team in implementing the international indirect tax strategy and supporting the growth of the international markets
  • Monthly assessment of global VAT registration obligations from the B2C digital services and managing any associated provisions required
  • Managing ad hoc projects

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of indirect tax experience, preferably some of which has been with digital services and within a multinational company
  • Knowledge of global VAT/GST rules relating to electronically supplied services and digital services taxes
  • Experience of configuring tax engines (Vertex and Onesource), understanding indirect tax elements of a billing system and AP systems such as Aravo, Coupa and Oracle
  • Understanding the typical VAT return process from source to report and how to prepare a balance sheet reconciliation
  • Experience of creating workflows in Alteryx and visualization tools e.g. Power BI, Google Looker
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple jurisdictions and deliver successfully and on time
  • Excellent written, presentation and influencing skills across levels
