Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in designing and developing AI-driven internal tools that enhance efficiency and effectiveness of developer success across all Intuit engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, develpoing next generation engineering tools, combined with a proven track record of leading teams in a customer-centric organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of internal engineering tools.
- Drive the adoption and integration of new technologies to improve tool functionality and developer experience.
- Foster a customer-centric approach, ensuring tools and technologies developed meet the developer needs and enhance engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tool development with the overall business and engineering strategy.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of the product development from concept to deployment and support.
- Mentor and develop team members to advance their skills and career paths.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering.
- Ensure robustness, resilience, and scalability of internal tools.
Qualifications
- Strong technical acumen: Exceptional knowledge in software development and cutting edge technology.
- Leadership and team management: Proven experience in leading software engineering teams and delivering impactful software projects.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Proven experience working on large-scale project that require cross-organitational alignment and collaboration
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to tackle challenging issues integrating complex systems and technologies.
- Data-driven Customer focus: Proven record of making customer expriense and data-driven product decision in partnership with Product and Program Management teams.
- Project management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience in agile methodologies.
- Communication skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Innovation: Continuously proposes new tools and updates to keep up with the fast-paced technology landscape.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in software development and management (7+ years preferred).
- Previous experience in developing internal engineering tools is highly desirable.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $231,000 - 312,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
