Job Overview

As a Group Design Manager, focused on Business Intelligence, you will lead a team responsible for delivering on foundational Reporting capabilities across the Intuit ecosystem, and a new Business Intelligence offering for our most valuable customers which delivers proactive business insights and helps with financial planning. You will play a critical role as the connector between designers in the US and developers in India–enabling world-class distributed product delivery. This role requires an experienced leader who is comfortable influencing senior leaders, delivering high-quality designs, and developing a team in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives of significant scope, complexity, and responsibility in creative vision, strategy, and execution
  • Deep understanding and balance of customer, business, and shareholders needs and cross-functional partnership, collaboration, and decision making
  • Strong communication (written, verbal, and visual), influence, and persuasion skills
  • Actively engage in the leadership triad (PM, Dev, Design) to guide strategic vision, drive alignment, and deliver with high quality
  • Drive outside-in, customer-centric thinking, doing, and building during the entire product process – from vision and exploration to narrowing and curation of every touchpoint to be excellent
  • Communicate design direction and intent with customer-backed and defensible principles and frameworks

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in Design, plus 5 years leading teams Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Human Factors, Design Strategy, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality design output through a team
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering product design deliverables such as design prototypes, documentation, design specs, assets (web and mobile), or similar
  • Strong business acumen and experience in managing multiple stakeholders and senior leadership expectations
  • Experience leading and managing a 5-10 designer team, or groups of teams. Experience managing managers and remote teams is a nice-to-have
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills
