Come join the Intuit Futures team as a Software Engineering Manager in our Software Acceleration Program team! Intuit is a global technology platform that helps consumers and small businesses overcome their most important financial challenges. Our Futures team incubates emerging technologies, user experiences, capabilities, and products that have the potential to be transformative to Intuit’s small businesses and consumers. Intuit Futures is an early stage new technology incubator.
We work on novel new ideas and technologies in a fast paced environment. Our goal is to keep Intuit at the forefront of technological innovation and introduce new technologies and experiences that would bring 10x to 100x benefit to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality platform capabilities that simplify and solve for current business needs while building for the future.
- Deliver platform capabilities with Engineering and Operational Excellence, leading to outstanding outcomes for customers, employees, and shareholders
- Lead positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams.
- Innovating and embracing new ideas that produce outstanding results for our customers.
- Build the strong relationships that are essential to delivering such awesome software, with partners in PM, PMO, XD, Data Engineering, Data Science, and more.
- Responsible for initiating and driving the adoption of technology, product and process improvements throughout the software delivery life cycle.
- Provide technical leadership, career development, and management of performance, objectives, and priorities of all reporting staff.
- Build a high performing, results-oriented team.
- Drive and own the functional and non-functional requirements road map for your organization.
- Develop product expertise and advocate on behalf of the customer.
- Drive initiatives to improve testing at all levels & deliver automation to ensure robustness and a seamless customer experience.
- Drive adoption of best practices, tools, systems and metrics across the organization.
- Imbibe and coach excellence in product, engineering and operations.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related area. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- 8+ years of experience in delivering software products with 3+years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products.
- Proven track record of leading high performing teams.
- Hands on engineering leader who can nurture working with highly motivated and extremely talented engineers to work on high visibility initiatives.
- Someone with strong belief in agile and lean thinking with a passion for velocity, engineering and operational excellence.
- Comfortable working on all tiers of modern applications, from the front-end all the way to the database and strong exposure to Enterprise Java platform, Spring Framework, ReactJS, Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes based container deployments.
- Solid software development fundamentals (Data Structures, algorithms, problem solving, OO Design, and system architecture) with specialization on end-to-end software development using modern SaaS / public cloud deployments with a DevOps mindset.
- Expert communicator and loves working with multiple stakeholders for common outcomes with high stakes at company level.
- Strong business acumen. Understands the business internal and external landscape and thinks/acts strategically for all stakeholders.
- Drives strategic technology/engine reuse, technology and architecture health, and development process improvement.
- A highly technical and result-oriented leader experienced in determining goals and matching those with customer requirements and product roadmap.
- Adept at leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $206,500 - $279,500, Bay Area California $206,500-279,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
