Manager 3, Software Engineering - People and Place Technology

Job Overview
The Tech 4 Intuit (t4i) People and Places Technology team is looking for a highly skilled Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technical and functional aspects of Workday and Avature, and will leverage deep technical knowledge, analytical capabilities, solution architecture skills, and process expertise to drive the design and implementation of Workday solutions that meet the organization's business needs.

- Continuously improve workplace efficiency by adjusting processes, organizational structures, and tools
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on Workday and Avature capabilities by leveraging deep technical and analytical capabilities, the creativity of a solution architect, and the process orientation of a functional expert.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Workday and Avature best practices and partner with functional, engineering teams, and stakeholders to design solutions ensuring all workstreams are cohesive and cross-functional/technical impacts are considered and mitigated.
- Ensure implemented technology meets the transactional, reporting, and analytical needs of our businesses. As appropriate, work with data engineering teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of data in the workforce data lake.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Southern California $231,000 - $312,000
This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).
Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered implementing and supporting People and Places suite of applications and technologies including Workday and Avature.
- Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams Adept at articulating the product vision and driving the future roadmap with strong business acumen
- Experience working with People Technologies like Workday and Avature as a technical lead on multiple full life-cycle implementations of Workday and Avature.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and SaaS technologies.
- Preferably experience working with global teams, especially in the US.
- Workday certification(s) preferred, including Prism, Extend and Integration certifications.
- Strong knowledge of the Workday Extend platform and related technologies such as Java, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, J2EE, Javascript, Python, etc.
- Hands-on experience in designing, building, testing, implementing, and maintaining Extend apps using IntelliJ or App Builder and solutions to address complex business and technical issues.
- Deep knowledge of Workday and Avature architecture, configuration, customization, integration, reporting, and testing methodologies and tools.
- At least 10 years of experience in Workday Integration development including Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Enterprise Interface Builder, Document Transformation, Custom Integrations, and other Workday tools.
- Strong knowledge of Workday Reporting, Integration, Business Processes, and Security Frameworks.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex Workday and Avature solutions that meet business requirements.
- Demonstrated curiosity and passion in learning and understanding technology & software. AI & ML experience in product offerings/experiences a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Executive presence to interact with and present to key stakeholders across the business and technology ecosystem.
- Ability to work well through ambiguity, condense in making tough calls and leading through adversity with a sharp focus on the eventual right outcomes.
- Track record delivering innovative, user focused solutions.
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent work-related experience
