Job Overview

The Intuit Finance Treasury team is critical in driving business growth and profitability through strategic, financial and operational leadership. Our interns have opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world problems. The primary objective of our summer internship program is to bring highly talented people into the organization. Summer internships are a direct pipeline to full-time positions in strategic positions with frequent exposure to company leaders, core businesses and technologies – where you can quickly make meaningful contributions.


While each summer internship is unique, all roles offer the experience of a project which challenges you to apply your knowledge and expertise to real business problems. As this role involves constant interaction with senior stakeholders across the business, you need the confidence and emotional intelligence to effectively communicate at all levels. The ideal candidate enjoys operating in an extremely fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and has the following experience and skills:


  • Excel/Financial modeling

  • Presentation skills (i.e. PowerPoint/Google Slides)

  • Strategic thinking

  • Intellectual curiosity + desire to learn


Responsibilities

  • Drive analysis of company’s optimal capital structure and assist with debt financing initiatives

  • Generate analysis on shareholder returns and support execution of the share repurchase program

  • Assist in analyzing/tracking FX exposure and implementing hedging strategies to mitigate financial risk

  • Develop insightful reports for debt and investments.

  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities and implement them

  • Work on ad-hoc cross functional projects with key stakeholders

  • Gain an understanding of credit rating agencies, banks and broker-dealers as it relates to corporate treasury


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a business graduate program with an emphasis in Finance, Economics or a related field

  • Prior experience in treasury, investment banking, capital markets or related corporate finance field

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze business scenarios by building/improving financial models.

  • Technical skill set is a plus (e.g., VBA, SQL, Python)

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, simultaneously manage several priorities, and challenge the status quo to lead change and operational improvements

  • Attention to detail and ability to develop insightful recommendations

  • Ability to influence all levels of leadership to drive actions, behaviors, decisions and business outcomes

  • Strong written and oral communication skills with experience in presenting to business partners with confidence, conviction and credibility

  • Grace under pressure with a good sense of humor and dose of humility

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: 


Mountain View & San Diego, CA: $42.90 - $78.22/Hr
