Job Overview
In the world of data, there is often a balance between needing to move fast while ensuring data quality, delivery, and business application. To solve this need, a new organization has been formed at Intuit called Data Innovation, which is tasked with driving our organization forward via Innovation with all things Data. We do this by solving internal and external customer problems through data initiatives. As part of the operating model of this new team, three functions have been created to execute these data initiatives: Data PM, Analytics Engineer, and Data PMO.
As an Analytics Engineer within the team you will partner with Data PMs to execute on data initiatives. Tasks would include deep diving into pipeline code and unpacking logic, creating POCs of new pipelines, driving new API integrations, implementing marketing attribution logic, etc. The goal of this team is to push the envelope in the strategic and direct application of data to drive real business outcomes. If you are the type of person that has a bias for action, inquisitive mindset, a pragmatic approach to engineering, and proactive approach to solving fascinating problems, then this role might be a fit.
Responsibilities
- Partners with a Data PM on an end-to-end pillar, acting as the rapid execution arm of the team
- Proactively dives deep into code, evaluates legacy logic, and forms a plan to ensure the end data represents the business problem being solved
- Develops and rapidly iterates on new applications of data, leveraging libraries, code repositories, and other resources to move quickly towards outcomes
- Knowledge of multiple coding languages; ability to learn new languages as needed
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience working in complex data domains leading data strategy, the application of data to solve business and customer problems, instrumentation, and data products
- Startup mindset, ability to wear multiple hats and switch context rapidly
- Ability to work independently and manage work to meet aggressive timelines
- Highly advanced SQL skills, Python Master, Spark proficiency and familiarity with API integration and management
- Proficient in data and analytics tools and patterns with an understanding of modern data stack trends
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
- Comfortable with solutions that may have imperfections, but still capture large amounts of value
- Passionate about mentoring others and the advancement of the team
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $211000-285500, Southern California $205000-277500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
