We are on a journey of transformation and to help us achieve this, we are looking for a design strategy minded Principal Designer - one who can help drive the platform vision by connecting our ecosystem capabilities together and influencing teams across the company to deliver value to our partners and customers. This could not be a more exciting time to join. As a Principal designer, you’ll join a cross-disciplinary team to create world-class, global experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach cross-functional teams to drive projects from exploration all the way through execution to deliver both for the business and the customer
- You will be driving strategic delivery of the accountant platform within your direct team and across the ecosystem
- We will need you to sometimes deliver with a scrum team as well
- Develop and activate a design strategy into meaningful world-class experiences, at-scale, while balancing the needs of the platform with those of the customer and partners.
- Champion and deliver an E2E experience that benefits for our customers and partners
- Connect points of views and ideas to best deliver the platform experience
- Deliver frameworks, mental-models, and other artefacts that provide guidance to deliver at scale for our most important partners.
- Help drive the execution of the vision both at a company level and segment level
- Use mastery of design thinking and facilitation to both define and activate strategic intent throughout the design process
- Use both qualitative and quantitative data to make decisions that drive the strategy forward
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $222000-300500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in product design, system design, design-thinking, systems strategy, or related fields
- Design thinking is in your DNA. It isn’t just a process to you, it’s just the way you work
- You have a track record of resourceful prototyping, piloting, and experimenting to get the right experience. It’s the way you facilitate intentional decision-making throughout the process.
- Highly collaborative team spirit able to take in multiple points of view, synthesize decisions, and communicate outcomes across the organization
- Mastery of design tools (especially Figma) and design system technology, with a deep understanding of design token best practices, versioning, performance optimization, and analytics
- A proven track record of influencing horizontally and managing a variety of stakeholders
- Confidence in managing through ambiguity with a track record of creative problem-solving that demonstrates flexibility
- Experience and passion for galvanizing organizations/teams around insights, themes or POV
- Artistry and excellence in simplifying complex ideas, identifying risks and dependencies, and delivering for customers within the constraints of technology
- Practical design experience that shows strong ownership of or significant contribution to an existing product that impacts millions of customers
- A love for technology and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to solve real problems
- Bonus points: You are an A.I. self-starter and experiment heavily in the space
