The PDX Core Design team at Intuit is at the heart of empowering our global product teams to build world-class experiences. We focus on creating and scaling foundational design systems, tools, and processes that drive consistency, efficiency, and innovation across our diverse product ecosystem. We are a team of passionate designers, researchers, and technologists who are committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in product development.

We are seeking an exceptionally talented and experienced Principal Design Technologist to join our PDX Core Design team. This is one of the highest individual contributor (IC) roles within our design organization, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of product development at Intuit. You will be a strategic leader, driving design vision and execution for critical initiatives that impact our entire product portfolio. You will be a master storyteller, a skilled prototyper, and a deep thinker who can bridge the gap between design and technology. Your expertise will be instrumental in elevating the design capabilities of our teams and ensuring a cohesive and delightful experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Strategic Design Leadership:

  • Define and drive the design vision for key PDX initiatives, aligning with Intuit's overall strategy and business goals.
  • Identify and advocate for design opportunities that enhance our product development experience.
  • Establish and maintain design principles and standards that promote consistency and excellence.

Design Execution & Innovation:

  • Lead the design of complex, cross-functional projects, from concept to
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications that effectively communicate design intent.
  • Explore and implement innovative design solutions that leverage emerging
  • Advance our design systems to be future forward, and efficient.

Technology & Collaboration:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Intuit's technology stack and its impact on design decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.

  • Articulate design concepts and rationale through compelling presentations and narratives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in product design, preferably in a large-scale technology
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering impactful design solutions for complex products and platforms.
  • Expertise in design systems, interaction design, and visual
  • Strong understanding of front-end development and emerging
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, ).
  • Experience working in an agile development
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate business goals into design
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a mastery of craft.
