Job Overview
The Tech 4 Intuit (t4i) People and Places Technology team is looking for a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technical and functional aspects of Workday, Avature, Data Lake technologies and will leverage deep technical knowledge, analytical capabilities, solution architecture skills, and process expertise to drive the design and implementation of People and Places technology solutions that meet the organization'sbusiness needs.
Responsibilities
● Design and develop significant technology initiatives end to end from conception to delivery and across multiple layers of product and architecture● Ensure the highest standards for engineering design, implementation, and testing● Collaborate closely with peers, cross-functional teams and business units to define, prioritize, sequence and scope business and functional requirements and drive results forward for Intuit● Accurately scope effort, identify risks and clearly communicate trade-offs with team members and other stakeholders● Stay aware of industry trends and make technology choices and strategic decisions● Mentor engineers on technology, process, people, and product skills
● Ship high quality products and features with an end-to-end mindset from conception to delivery and production support, owning specifications, quality, release deployments andmonitoring of production health● Serve as a technical subject matter expert on Workday and Avature capabilities by leveraging deep technical and analytical capabilities, the creativity of a solution architect, and the process orientation of a functional expert.● Provide subject matter expertise on Workday and Avature best practices and partner with functional, engineering teams, and stakeholders to design solutions ensuring all workstreams are cohesive and cross-functional/technical impacts are considered and mitigated.● Ensure implemented technology meets the transactional, reporting, and analytical needs of our businesses. As appropriate, work with data engineering teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of data in the workforce data lake.
Qualifications
● 10+ years experience of software development working in large-scale distributed technology environments and have successfully delivered implementing and supporting People and Places suite of applications and technologies including Workday and Avature.● Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization.● Executive presence to interact with and present to key stakeholders across the business andtechnology ecosystem.● Ability to work well through ambiguity, confidence in making tough calls and leading through adversity with a sharp focus on the eventual right outcomes.● End-to-end hands on experience in building large scale data processing systems, People Technologies like Workday and Avature● Deep knowledge of Workday and Avature architecture, configuration, customization, integration, reporting, and testing methodologies and tools.● At least 10 years of experience in Workday development including Workday Extend, Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Enterprise Interface Builder, Document Transformation, Custom Integrations, and other Workday tools.● Strong knowledge of Workday Reporting, Integration, Business Processes, and Security Frameworks.● Knowledge of building AI native applications● Guides the applicability of AI to customer problems through a deep understanding of the value and limitations of AI technologies.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $247,500-335,000, Southern California $233,000-315,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
