Come join the Intuit Futures team as a Software Engineer in our Software Acceleration Program team! Intuit is a global technology platform that helps consumers and small businesses overcome their most important financial challenges. Intuit Futures is an early stage new technology incubator.
We work on novel new ideas and technologies in a fast paced environment. Our goal is to keep Intuit at the forefront of technological innovation and introduce new technologies and experiences that would bring 10x to 100x benefit to our customers.
Responsibilities
● Participate in the agile feature/product design process working with cross-functional teams
● Design, implement PoCs and MVPs in a dynamic technology environment
● Learn and evaluate new libraries, technologies and ideas
● Drive significant technology initiatives end to end and across multiple layers of architecture
● Drive design and implementation of durable and software solutions that will solve critical customer problems
● Capture requirements and use cases
● Deliver technical design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure web services with excellent quality
● Partner with other groups both inside and outside of Intuit for cross-functional design and solution integration
● Work with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Management, and Production Operations to develop, test, and release features
● Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting, and applying cutting-edge technology and software paradigms
● Actively stay abreast of mobile/SaaS/PaaS trends and standards, recommend best practices, and share learning
● Pursue and resolve complex or unchartered technical problems and share key learnings
● Provide/inspire innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit
● Apply your experience and innovation to generate creative ideas for emerging business needs
Qualifications
● 5+ years experience developing web applications and software
● Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
● Successful delivery of software across different lifecycle stages: PoCs, MVPs, production-ready code.
● Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ability to operate in DevOps model.
● Expertise in web development model and exposure to UI tech stack will be an added advantage.
● Expertise in architecting or developing features for enterprise scale systems will be an added advantage.
● Passion in being the technology ambassador and coaching engineering excellence to junior engineers.
● Experience with AI technologies such as SageMaker, LangChain, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, DialogFlow
● Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the risks and potential dangers associated with the use of AI.
● Advocate for the highest standards for engineering design, implementation, and testing.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for the use of AI at Intuit, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
● Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture/data-backed-decision-making processes.
● Experience with REST web services
● Experience with any of the following Object Oriented Languages (OOD): Java/J2EE
● Experience working with AWS platform and services
● Unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
● Strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to work well in a team.
● An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
● "Self-starter"" attitude and ability to make decisions independently
● Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems

● Experience in leveraging Amazon Web Services for building scalable applications
● Understanding of industry-leading technology/solutions in big data and machine learning
● Experience in making successful trade-offs that balance the short- and long-term product goals
● High-energy, self-starter with a positive mindset and with a "can do" attitude
● Demonstrated ability to work with global teams across time zones, with a focus on working in English with the US.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $161500 - $219000, Bay Area California $161500-219000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
