Job Overview
Come join the Small Business and Self-employed group in Intuit as a Software Engineer 2.
You will work on the core application capabilities used to power Intuit applications, such as QuickBooks, and develop the next-generation shared experiences. Intuit’s strategy is to be an AI-driven Expert Platform and we are tasked with building the systems to deliver AI-driven dynamic hyper-personalized user experiences. If you love having big goals, working on real-world challenges, and solving customer problems by applying new technologies innovatively, this is the job for you.
We are looking for engineers who love to lead the charge, and question the status quo, but are also humble, and collaborate effectively. We love product engineers who are driven to make an impact, and deliver amazing outcomes that delight our customers.
Responsibilities
- Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project planning
- Hands-on development. Write highest quality code with utmost attention to quality, usability, scalability, and performance
- Designing/developing web front-end, and back-end software, prototypes, or proofs of concepts
- Resolve defects/bugs during testing, pre-production, production, and post-release updates
- Work cross-functionally with various Intuit engineering and cross-functional teams to drive forward results
- Learn and practice Agile Software Development as part of a Scrum or Kanban team
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience developing web, software, or mobile applications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 1+ years experience Professional or open-source experience with either front-end or back-end development
- Strong OOP design and coding skills and experience with the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with unit testing and automation with the goal of producing high-quality, testable applications
- Solid communication skills: demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to ramp up quickly on new domains, codebases and, technologies.
- Bonus points if you have applied traditional AI or GenAI to solve real customer problems
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $136000-184000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
