ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're seeking a Staff Developer Advocate to join our Developer Advocacy team to focus on driving enablement within Intuit’s cloud-native communities. This staff-level role will anchor the team, supporting the Group Lead in mentoring and coaching junior advocates, defining advocacy strategies, and driving engagement with cloud-native and AI technologies.
As a Staff Developer Advocate, you will be the bridge between our products and the developer community, helping to shape the future of GenAI, cloud-native development at Intuit. You will work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations teams, using your influence to drive strategic initiatives and ensure that developer feedback shapes the evolution of our solutions.
Your work will extend beyond our organization as you engage with key leaders across the industry and contribute back, you will have the opportunity to broaden your impact to the cloud-native and open source communities at large.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of advocacy strategies that inspire and engage cloud-native developers, driving adoption of Intuit’s cloud native and GenAI offerings.
- Mentor and coach a team of junior advocates, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that empowers everyone to excel.
- Create and deliver high-quality technical content, including blogs, tutorials, videos, webinars, and conference talks that resonate deeply with platform developers
- Actively contribute to and engage with open-source communities related to cloud-native technologies, such as CNCF, Istio, and Kubernetes. Advocate for Intuit’s involvement and foster strong relationships to enhance Intuit’s presence in the developer ecosystem.
- Represent Intuit at industry events, conferences, and meetups, showcasing our commitment to empowering the developer community and setting new standards in cloud innovation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing) to align advocacy efforts with business objectives, providing critical feedback that influences product development and strategic decisions.
- Engage actively with developer communities through forums, social media, open-source projects, and direct interactions to build trust and foster a thriving ecosystem.
- Drive a metrics-driven approach to advocacy, regularly measuring and reporting on the impact of your efforts through community growth, content engagement, and product adoption metrics.
- Act as a thought leader within the developer advocacy and cloud communities, staying ahead of industry trends, and championing the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices.

You are a visionary leader with deep expertise in cloud-native technologies and a passion for empowering developers. Known for your strategic mindset, for your insight into developer enablement programs and for the ability to influence cross-functional teams, you excel at turning developer feedback into impactful product decisions. You thrive in a dynamic environment where you can drive meaningful change, mentor others, and be a catalyst for GenAI development innovation.
- 7+ years of experience in developer advocacy, developer relations, or a similar role, with a strong focus on cloud-native and AI technologies.
- Proven track record of creating and delivering impactful technical content that educates and engages developers across various formats, including blogs, conference talks, workshops, and live streaming.
- Exceptional public speaking skills with experience presenting at conferences, webinars, and other industry events.
- Strong technical expertise in building and managing scalable cloud-native platforms, including Kubernetes, Istio, and other container ecosystems. Familiarity with multi-tenancy, network and security policies, and large-scale distributed systems is highly desirable.
- Experience mentoring and leading teams, with a passion for helping others grow and succeed.
- Ability to measure the success of advocacy efforts through metrics such as community engagement, content impact, and product adoption.
- Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to influence product development and align advocacy efforts with strategic business goals.
- Passion for community engagement, with a history of active participation in developer forums, open-source contributions, and fostering community growth.
- Self-motivated and curious, with a drive to explore new technologies and continuously learn and innovate.
- Willingness to travel as needed to represent Intuit and engage with developers worldwide.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $177,000 - 239,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
