Job Overview

The Tech 4 Intuit (T4I) People and Places Technology Engineering team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead technical development activities on Workday Extend and Integrations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the technical aspects of Workday Extend and integrations, as well as functional acumen and solution architecture skills to help deliver best-in-class solutions to Intuit employees.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced technical capabilities on Workday, focusing specifically on Workday Extend and Workday Integrations.
  • Engage closely with HR stakeholders, product managers, and peers to thoroughly understand the scope, gather requirements, and establish technical design and development dependencies.
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise in Workday Extend and other key technical features of Workday to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with teams from Workday, ServiceNow, and Data Engineering to integrate functionality and data, fulfilling all transactional, reporting, and analytical requirements of our businesses.
  • Uphold the highest standards in engineering design, implementation, and testing by collaborating closely with principal engineers and architects.
  • Remain informed about industry trends to guide technology selections and strategic decisions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and manage integrations between the Workday platform and all connected systems, ensuring robust functionality and performance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in web service technologies including REST, JSON, SOAP, HTTP, SSL, PGP, SAML, and SWA.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Operate effectively in an agile environment, maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

    Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is: 

    Bay Area California $197,000.00 - $266,500

    This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in designing and developing Workday technical capabilities, including Workday Extend, Workday Integrations, and Reports.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proficiency in discussing technical design and implementation dependencies related to Workday Extend and Integrations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday Extend and associated technologies such as Java, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, J2EE, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Hands-on experience in designing, building, testing, implementing, and maintaining Extend apps using tools like IntelliJ or App Builder, to resolve complex business and technical challenges.
  • Prior experience in implementing Workday Integrations utilizing EIBs, Report as a Service (RaaS), and Workday Studio.
  • Holding Workday certifications, especially in Prism, Extend, and Integration, is preferred.
  • Experienced in collaborating with data engineering teams to integrate Workday Data, addressing analytical needs effectively.
