Job Overview
Our Modern Analytics Platform team is seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer to build and optimize our BI reporting infrastructure for next-generation AI applications. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies like AWS, Databricks, Tableau, QlikSense, and QuickSight, directly impacting customer experience through powerful insights derived from GenAI.
Responsibilities
- Champion operational excellence for BI reporting tools (Tableau, QlikSense, QuickSight), ensuring scalability, security, and availability through automation on AWS.
- Lead the charge in optimizing data pipelines & scale infrastructure using Databricks, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, especially during peak seasons.
- Become a vital bridge between Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, and Data Science teams, aligning BI tools with business needs and maximizing reporting performance.
- Contribute to the future of BI by developing AI-driven reports using machine learning, empowering decision-making with deeper insights.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of proven expertise in supporting BI reporting tools (Tableau, QlikSense, QuickSight).
- 3+ years of in-depth knowledge of Data pipelines and experience with Databricks Infrastructure.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS preferred).
- 5+ years of strong Object Oriented Programming skills (Java, Scala, or Python).
- 5+ years of experience in integrating technical processes with business outcomes, particularly in data analysis, quality, and monitoring.
- 5+ years of DevOps experience (configuration, optimization, backup, reliability, monitoring, version control).
- Familiarity with data processing technologies, specifically Spark.
- 5+ years of experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems.
- 5+ years of proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.).
- Understanding of Machine Learning, LLM, and GenAI concepts and applications.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $191,000-258,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
