Job Overview

The Intuit Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is responsible for generating over half of Intuit’s global revenue. Flagship brands include QuickBooks and Mailchimp, and our vision is to be the connected E2E platform that small and medium-sized businesses rely on every day to run and grow their businesses — doubling their revenue and profitability. GBSG is uniquely positioned to be the source of truth and engagement by addressing fundamental customer needs of finding customers, getting paid, getting access to capital, accessing expert advice, remaining compliant and organized, and getting their work done. 

Historically, GBSG’s sweet spot has been businesses with 1-10 employees but we have extended up market to serve businesses with 10-100 employees - what we define as “mid-market.” GBSG has developed its product offering to include multichannel commerce, money management (>$250bn in payments volumes, >2tn in invoices), getting access to capital, workforce management (payroll, time tracking), and access to expert advice (virtual bookkeeping). 

We are looking for a transformational Vice President of Design who will play a key role in Intuit’s GBSG’s senior leadership team working hand in hand with the SVP, QuickBooks Accounting and End-to-End Experiences leader to define and deliver on GBSG’s growth strategy.

The Design leader will lead product design across the entire QuickBooks ecosystem and play a key cross-functional leadership role in a variety of product excellence and cross-platform integration initiatives. You will set the vision for the design function and drive end-to-end excellence in the customer experience across all web and mobile properties; you will build a high-performance culture for a direct organization of ~150 employees; and you will deliver winning results by driving customer and business outcomes such as improved Product Recommendation Scores (PRS), Usability Scores, and customer acquisition and retention.

This leader will be human centered, data-driven and well-versed in AI-driven solutions that create exceptional experiences, elevate our digital platforms, enhance user engagement, streamline processes and achieve business objectives, building Intuit’s reputation as a company that delivers cutting-edge digital experiences across all of our offerings for SMB and Mid-Market customers.

You will have a proven track record of raising the bar of craft and execution, delivering winning results, leading with a clear vision, and a mindset that views the user experience as QuickBooks’ most important “product.” You should also have experience creating world-class systems and processes to measure and improve the experience.

Qualifications

• You are passionate about solving the most important problems for Small and Medium sized businesses
• You have 15+ years of demonstrated UX leadership and management for branded products or systems
• You have a solid understanding of UX strategies, best practices, principles, and models
• You have experience leading UX design teams and deliverables (visual, interaction, content, user research, front end engineers)
• You are a servant leader with proven leadership and decision making skills
• You are an exceptional communicator (written and verbal) with an ability to articulate and sell a vision to product and technical teams
• You are a skilled collaborator that can bring the best out of your colleagues
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and mindset with a focus on possibilities and not obstacles
• You are adaptable to change, collaborative, and can work through ambiguity with ease
