Job Overview

The Intuit Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is responsible for generating over half of Intuit’s global revenue. Flagship brands include QuickBooks and Mailchimp, and our vision is to be the connected E2E platform that small and medium-sized businesses rely on every day to run and grow their businesses — doubling their revenue and profitability. GBSG is uniquely positioned to be the source of truth and engagement by addressing fundamental customerneeds of finding customers, getting paid, getting access to capital, accessing expert advice, remaining compliant and organized, and getting their work done.

Historically, GBSG’s sweet spot has been businesses with 1-10 employees but we have extended up market to serve businesses with 10-100 employees - what we define as “mid-market.” GBSG has developed its product offering to include multichannel commerce, money management (>$250bn in payments volumes, >2tn in invoices), getting access to capital, workforce management (payroll, time tracking), and access to expert advice (virtual bookkeeping).

We are looking for a transformational Vice President of Product, International who will play a key role in Intuit’s GBSG’s senior leadership team working hand in hand with the SVP, QuickBooks Accounting and End-to-End Experiences leader and the SVP International to define and deliver on GBSG’s international growth strategy.

This exceptional product leader will play a key cross-functional leadership role in driving QuickBooks ecosystem growth revenue growth in our target markets as well as new growth areas across the globe. The VP will bring expertise in international product and corporate strategy to drive our global growth by identifying international markets to prioritize, evaluating product market fit, launching new markets, and driving.

  • Core Role Accountabilities:Product Strategy and Execution: Execute on strategy and vision to deliver on International platform strategy that delivers an AI-driven business platform to drive revenue and profitability, and daily value for customers. Execute on current roadmap and priorities and define O-1 strategy for next set of countries that will accelerating revenue growth for Intuit. Establish International as the place for early testing of new products and branding initiatives.○ Direct Team Leadership: Build a high-performing team, with operating model, structure and roles that will deliver on evolution on International improve and innovate.○ Cross-Functional Leadership: Play leadership role across GBSG andcross-functional partners

Responsibilities

To shepherd the breakthrough growth we are targeting in our vision, the company is looking for a dynamic Vice President of Product, International. The role reports to Dave Talach, SVP SVP QuickBooks Money, Accounting, and E2E Experiences.

 

This leader will drive our ecosystem growth across the globe, identifying which markets to prioritize, developing our product and business strategy to grow, and organizing a cross-functional team to develop a roadmap and executing that growth. This VP will have a proven track record of raising the bar of craft and execution, delivering winning results, leading with a clear vision, and a mindset that views the user experience as QuickBooks’ most important “product.” You should also have experience creating world-class systems and processes to measure and improve the experience.

The successful candidate will define and articulate the international product strategy, roadmap, and capabilities aligned with our overall Intuit vision and strategy, including the following:

 

● Define and execute the global growth strategy in international markets.● Identify prime international market expansion opportunities by analyzing local market trends and data, while considering the specific nuances of our customer base.● Define the vision, product strategy, and roadmap by conducting rigorous analysis to identify the unique needs and pain points of small and mid-market businesses in existing and new international markets, and transform those insights into actionable deliverables.● Drive revenue growth by developing and executing customer acquisition, localization, product, and pricing strategies to launch and expand into new emerging markets.● Collaborate with the executive leadership team in setting overall growth strategy for the company.

● Build and lead a high-performing product organization that will deliverindustry-differentiating experiences to represent the needs of our customers in different markets, ensuring our strategies and delivery plans align.● Actively monitor industry trends and competitor activities to ensure that we stay ahead of the curve and proactively identify new growth opportunities.● Conduct market analysis to identify trends, threats, and opportunities for product development and enhancement; utilize data-driven insights to inform product strategy and prioritize the product roadmap.

Qualifications

Domain:

  • The ideal candidate has 15+ years of relevant product strategy experience
  • Prior experience leading global/international expansion strategy, ideally with a focus on Europe and LATAM
  • Experience building for SMB and mid-market customers at a company with an ecosystem of products and services
  • Proven track record of successfully championing trajectory-changing business shifts for organizations, including commercial and product innovation that translates to revenue and customer growth
  • Known for driving durable revenue growth that balances short and long-term investments
  • Experience in building and executing a clear, crisp, durable 3-year product strategy

Functional:

  • Exceptional at prioritization and decision-making -- narrowing to the critical few
  • Experience managing a complex portfolio of products with both 0-1 offerings and existing at-scale offerings
  • Effective at working cross-functionally in a large matrix-style organization to ensure teams can move with speed and maximum impact
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Leadership and managerial:

  • Exceptional ability to influence beyond their direct team to the portfolio level, company, and executive leadership level, including cross-functional partners and potential stakeholders.
  • Experience managing teams that cover more than one primary offering. Has demonstrated they can lead a team of senior leaders at the Director level who manage other leaders.
  • Experience successfully attracting and retaining top talent globally, including experience managing teams across multiple global locations.
