Our Delivery team’s mission is to enable small businesses to maximize their reach and engage with their audience by cultivating healthy relationships with media platforms.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior SMS Deliverability Engineer to join our team. This role will help us meet high customer expectations for delivery, deliverability, and compliance, maintain an excellent sending reputation, create internal and external educational materials, and position our SMS product for long-term success. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SMS deliverability, strong analytical skills, and a passion for enhancing customer experience.

Responsibilities

Deliverability Management

  • Provide proactive SMS/MMS delivery support to internal teams, helping to resolve customer issues and maintain operational excellence.
  • Identify and rectify data, process, and technology issues through proactive monitoring.
  • Manage relationships with SMS partners to achieve timely resolutions for customers.
  • Assist with issues related to carrier compliance and delivery.

Design and Delivery Training

  • Develop and maintain documentation such as delivery best practices and troubleshooting playbooks.
  • Create educational materials, including blogs, articles, and webinars, to demystify deliverability and promote best practices.

Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, processes, and performance.
  • Provide thought leadership by participating in industry forums
  • Monitor industry trends and changes in regulations to keep the company and customers informed and compliant.

Customer Advocacy

  • Act as a subject matter expert on SMS/MMS deliverability and compliance.
  • Partner with sales, support, and success teams to build scalable paths for customer growth.
  • Gather customer feedback and advocate for product improvements based on their needs.

Technical Expertise

  • Use advanced tools and methodologies to analyze and improve SMS deliverability.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in the SMS marketing space.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, maintaining a deep understanding of opt-in and opt-out processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in SMS deliverability, preferably in the CPaaS space.
  • Extensive knowledge of the SMS/MMS deliverability ecosystem and technologies, including compliance and regulations for WhatsApp and short code, alphanumeric, and VLN numbers.
  • Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish and drive deliverables from multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SMS marketing regulations (e.g., TCPA) and best practices.
  • Experience with major SMS Aggregators and Carriers.

Preferred Skills

  • Expertise with Splunk, MySQL, and BigQuery.
  • Experience in resolving deliverability issues with Carriers, Aggregators, and/or Anti-Abuse Community professionals using technology and people skills
  • Experience with Carrier side anti-abuse processes.
  • Working knowledge of Unix and command line tools
  • The ability to function independently and in a team environment
  • The ability to break down complex concepts and explain them to audiences while demonstrating expertise in subject matter
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $191,000 - $258,500, Bay Area California $191,000-258,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
