Group Product Manager - Payments Checkout & Payor Portal

Are you interested in playing a key role in the success of small businesses all over the world? People who work for themselves fuel our global economy. In the US, small businesses employ 60% of the workforce and create 80% of new jobs; internationally the stats are even more skewed. But the odds are stacked against them. One in every two businesses fails in the first five years, two of three before they can turn ten.
One of the most severe challenges a small business faces is managing their cash flow: balancing inflows and outflows, late customer payments, funding growth, and making payroll, all while hoping there is enough left over for profit or a rainy day.
QuickBooks is on a mission to change the game by providing access to services that improve business’s prospects and increase their survival rate. As the Head of Product for Checkout and Payor Portal you will lead teams of product managers, designers, engineers, and data scientists to build a world class checkout experience for QuickBooks Payments. You will drive the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for the future of our checkout, conversion and notification capabilities, build a hyper-personalized experience for our merchants’ payors to help solve the B2C and B2B payment needs of small businesses and mid-market businesses alike.
Responsibilities
- Drive the vision, strategy, and product roadmap for Checkout, Conversion, and Notifications capabilities, including building core horizontal capabilities, delightful UX and hyper-contextualized experiences to solve the broad needs across different industries and business types.
- Form a deep understanding of Quickbook’s payments checkout product, customers, and conversion strategies.
- Think like a general manager of the product working backwards from big revenue goals while balancing revenue outcomes with product quality, speed and consumer needs
- Build strong platform capabilities that ensure stability and credibility around delivery, further enhancing the customer experience
- Be customer-centered and data-driven, working closely with analytics to define a measurement strategy that optimizes for long-term success and helps build confidence around predicting winning experiments
- Drive rigorous prioritization and investment decisions necessary to deliver your team’s vision and roadmaps
- Build and lead an exceptional team of PMs. Lead the team with product rigor and customer and data obsessed decision making at a fast pace. Hold high standards, drive accountability, encourage diverse perspectives and debates - all while not compromising kindness and empathy. Build and sustain a cohesive culture that brings together highly successful groups of people of diverse backgrounds that use strong communication, thought leadership and customer obsession to build world class products.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a product manager, designing and shipping multiple impactful SaaS software experiences across web and mobile iOS / Android
- Proven track record of successfully scaling an organization and managing teams of leaders and individual Ability to attract and retain top talent.
- Previous payments experience with specific expertise in building modern checkout experiences
- Analytical data driven thinker - Balances data and intuition in driving product decisions
- Customer obsessed mindset - The ability wear the customer’s hat at all times and be a customer advocate first
- Proven track record of delivering results and scaling products to millions of customers
- Experience identifying significant opportunities, and driving product vision, strategies and roadmaps in the context of broader organizational strategies and goals
- The ability to work closely with Senior and C-level executives to develop product strategy
- Inspiring leader with a strategic mindset, is comfortable with ambiguity, and who holds a high bar for quality and consistency
- Sought after manager, mentor, and coach - Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining world-class product managers and managers of product managers. Past direct reports are passionate about working with them.
- Growth mindset - willing to accept feedback and seek ways to get better every Embrace a learning mindset that allows you to take risks and redefine failure as learning.
- MBA preferred
