Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.
Job Overview
The QuickBooks Payments team empowers economic prosperity for businesses of all sizes by providing comprehensive and seamless payment solutions. We meet our clients where they are, offering embedded payment options that fuel their growth and simplify their financial operations.
As a Staff Product Designer in this team, you will lead a design team which constantly ships experiences that affect the lives of millions by establishing and driving design principles that solve complex UX problems.
You will have the opportunity to imagine, create and test new product concepts with cross-functional teams in Product Management, Data Science, and Engineering and influence the product roadmap based on joint product vision and user feedback.
To bring to life amazing experiences for our users and deliver impactful business results, we are looking for a Staff Product Designer to bridge the gap between conceptual design, deep research and platform-grade capabilities. You should be comfortable moving fast and collaborate across teams, geographies and cultures.
Responsibilities
- Champion User-Centricity: Drive the design process by deeply understanding customer needs and behaviors, advocating for solutions that prioritize their experience above all else.
- Strategic Visionary: Translate business goals and user insights into a clear, innovative design vision for QuickBooks Payments, influencing the product roadmap and inspiring your team.
- Master Communicator: Effectively convey complex design concepts to diverse audiences, from internal stakeholders to external partners, through compelling storytelling and visualizations.
- Simplifier of Complexity: Transform intricate payment systems into intuitive and user-friendly experiences across web and mobile platforms, ensuring accessibility for all users.
- Data-Driven Innovator: Continuously experiment and test design solutions, leveraging customer research and data analysis to validate decisions and drive product improvement.
- Collaborative Leader: Foster a culture of open communication and teamwork, partnering effectively with cross-functional teams (product managers, engineers, researchers) to achieve shared goals.
- Global Orchestrator: Lead design efforts across continents, expertly navigating time zones and cultural differences to foster a cohesive and high-performing team.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of proven experience designing user-centered products, ideally within fast-paced environments or for high-growth companies.
- A degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field that provides a solid foundation in design principles and methodologies.
- A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to conduct and apply user research to inform design decisions and product strategy.
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform design decisions, measure the impact of design solutions, and iterate based on quantitative and qualitative feedback.
- Proven ability to define a compelling design vision, rally cross-functional teams around it, and deliver exceptional user experiences that drive business results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts, collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and build consensus.
- Mastery of design and prototyping tools.
