Job Overview
Come join Intuit as a Senior Risk Operations Process Excellence Consultant! This role is responsible for understanding, managing and improving systems, tools and processes for our Risk Operations organization.
Responsibilities
- Identifies opportunities and analyzes, designs, and develops business processes that help achieve business goals and objectives.
- Partners with cross functional and cross organizational stakeholders to identify, quantify, and prioritize business problems or opportunities, develop effective and efficient solutions, and implement the desired solutions on time and with high quality to improve overall process efficiencies and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization from front-line workers to executive leadership, to gain a deep understanding of the business, its strategic objectives, success measures, current problem sets, and emerging trends to in order to identify the most important opportunities for improvement.
- Gather, organize, and analyze large amounts of information to develop deep expertise in the problems and business trends. This may require interviewing stakeholders, mining data sets, measuring outcomes, learning the systems and workflows to complete example work, monitoring teams and processes, and working with technical partners.
- Communicate information in ways that drive stakeholder understanding and support through the use of process mapping expertise (or other modeling techniques).
- Be a subject matter expert on the pros, cons, and shortcomings of existing tools and technology in order to evaluate, deeply understand, and create the case for change.
- Leverage research, technical/white papers, existing data, investigation results, and trials/pilots to identify and define the most efficient and effective process, people, or system improvements.
- Redesign systems, processes, and workflows to transform business results that may include cost efficiency, output accuracy, and/or customer satisfaction.
- Plan, document, and execute complex multi-quarter technical, process, or people initiatives to achieve the desired operational excellence objectives.
- Relentlessly focus on identifying and driving continuous improvements even after desired results are achieved to drive more efficient and effective operations.
- Develop compelling business cases that illustrate the need for change, the desired end state, and the benefits to be realized.
- Be a change management champion by creating a compelling vision of the desired state to inspire buy-in, reinforcing positive outcomes, monitoring behaviors and outcomes in order to pivot quickly when necessary, and communicating results.
- Stay current with industry’s best practices and trends to continuously improve operational excellence processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated understanding and use of the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology to drive improvements in the business
- 6-8 years of end-to-end project management experience preferred
- The ability to think strategically in order to understand and align Risk Operational Excellence initiatives with the company’s overall strategy
- Exceptional verbal/written/presentation skills in order to communicate effectively with different stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong collaboration skills
- Someone that is adaptable and comfortable with constant change and ambiguity
- Familiarity with programming language (SQL, Python, Java, etc) is a plus
