Job Overview
Intuit, the maker of TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, is seeking a Principal Content Strategist to join the TurboTax Communications team. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting and executing a comprehensive content strategy that drives audience engagement, search visibility, and business growth for the TurboTax Blog, reporting to the Director of Communications for TurboTax.
As the Principle Content Strategist, this person will be instrumental in helping the brand elevate and scale its content strategy through the development of audio, video, long-form content and calculators that rank across platforms. This includes creating scalable formats and series, identifying and actioning against trendjacking and SEO content opportunities. Working with internal and agency social, SEO and influencer teams, this person will develop an E2E content calendar across the comms team, reimagine the existing blog content strategy and, leading with AI, refine content creation processes.
This person will also be responsible for leading the product roadmap for the blog, ensuring we are delivering a seamless E2E customer experience, improving conversion experiences and delivering business goals. The right candidate will have strong SEO expertise, proven experience using AI tools for content creation, a test and learn mindset and strong analytics skill. A strong candidate will also excel at communications, clearly articulating our strategies, goals and performance to business leaders.
We are looking for someone who brings a passion for visual storytelling across mediums in order to break down taxes and finances in a fun and engaging way, while building brand trust and affinity. The role calls for experience with social, short, mid and long-form content ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our audiences while enhancing our search visibility across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
- Experience developing E2E content strategies to maximize audience engagement on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and others, all while driving organic traffic.
- Strong storytelling abilities in both written and visual formats, excelling at converting complex tax concepts into engaging and compelling content/videos that facilitate clear communication to diverse audiences.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SEO, Communications, Marketing Strategists to execute successful campaigns.
- Knowledge of trends in content marketing, social platform capabilities and trends and SEO strategies, including the integration of AI tools in the content creation process.
- Develop video content strategies that aim to improve our search visibility, focusing on trending topics that resonate with our target audience.
- Strong communicator, clearly articulating our strategies, goals and performance to business leaders
- Strong analytical mindset to understand content performance across platforms and implement continuous optimizations
- Experience with the Word Press platform required.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in content marketing, publishing or communications
- Proven ability developing content strategies across multiple platforms, formats and audience segments
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and spoken)
- Strong ability to turn data points and analytics into actionable insights to optimize campaign performance, and to summarize key information for senior leaders
- Experience in visual storytelling that moves seamlessly between different digital channels
- Customer obsessed with a drive to create highly engaging content
- Ability to influence across a matrixed organization
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- At the forefront of content marketing with proven experience leveraging the latest tools and technologies to accelerate velocity
- Hybrid Role: 2-3 days in office/week
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $184500-249500, Southern California $174000-235500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
