Job Overview

Principal Demand Expert - We are looking for a Demand Planning Subject Matter Expert BDA to join our team. We have an exciting opportunity to help shape how we use data and technology to reach our customers with personalized experiences across multiple marketing touch points.

As a Principal Business Data Analyst, you will be a thought leader and dive deep into our marketing campaigns and activations to uncover actionable insights to measure and improve our forecasts for customer demand. The role requires technical agility with deep understanding of forecasting methods and models. This position works alongside marketing, product analytics, data engineering, strategy and finance teams to deliver the best forecasts for customer demand at the most granular scale.

This position will help define and stage up our Data Science backed Forecasting Processes at Scale – and lead with Tech First mindset. The role would shape the future of demand planning at Intuit – help initiate strategic initiatives within the forecasting space, refine and help build the tool vision for our Forecasting and headcount Planning tool – Expert Plan.

Responsibilities

  • Own end to end demand forecasting for few product / group lines within the Small Business ecosystem.
  • Create, define and optimize end to end forecasting process to drive strategic thinking and cross-functional alignment around data-driven approaches to optimizing marketing campaigns
  • Design new methodologies, experiments, & dashboards to ensure forecast accuracy improves year over year.
  • Analyze results and generate insights that inform continued iteration of models / improvement in business results
  • Provide guidance and thought partnership to Business leaders and stakeholders on how best to harness available data in support of critical business needs and goals.
  • Lead weekly meetings with leadership to present the overall demand/supply plan (and gaps to the plan), highlight assumptions, risks and mitigation plans incorporated in the plan and provide recommendations to organizational leaders

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field required or equivalent work experience; Masters preferred
  • 12+ years of experience working in Forecasting or Data Science or other related data analytics fields
  • Experience leading and have “Influence without Direct Authority” roles.
  • Highly proficient in SQL, Tableau/QlikSense, and Excel
  • Experience in defining metrics and instrumenting data tracking.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and end to end quantitative thinking
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines
  • Outstanding communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Experience building strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to tell stories with data, educates effectively, and instills confidence in recommendations, motivating others to act on them

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $$180,500 - $244,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
