Job Overview
Join Intuit’s Consumer Group design team and create AI-powered, end-to-end experiences for millions of consumers. As a Principal Product designer on this team you will be helping craft the design strategy and execution of the next evolution of tax prep through innovation and design craft to help our customers grow and thrive. You’ll work across functions, teams, and business units to create intuitive and scalable platform experiences.
This is a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment where we are working to ship new-to-Intuit experiences. In this role, you will join an innovative team that is looking to completely re-shape the way customers file their taxes. We will be taking advantage of the latest technology in the industry and our Intuit ecosystem, to make a step change in ease and confidence for our customers, and you will play a massive role in this transformation.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for leading initiatives that are re-imagining the way customers do their taxes
- You will be expected to be both hands on, and to lead / coach other designers to drive projects from exploration all the way through execution to deliver both for the business and the customer
- You will need to be able to balance your time working with multiple stakeholders, across different time zones on occasion in order to ensure excellent execution
- Champion and deliver an E2E experience that benefits our customers and partners
- Connect points of views and ideas to best deliver the platform experience
- Deliver frameworks, mental-models, and other artefacts that provide guidance to deliver at scale for our most important partners.
- Use mastery of design thinking and facilitation to both define and activate strategic intent throughout the design process
- Use both qualitative and quantitative data to make decisions that drive the strategy forward
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach.
The expected base pay range for this position is:
Southern California: $206,500 - $279,500This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- 10+ years’ experience in product design, system design, design-thinking, systems strategy, or related fields
- Mastery at mobile native first design, and well versed in adaptive web design
- Strong technical, data, and business acumen
- Design thinking is in your DNA. It isn’t just a process to you, it’s just the way you work
- You have a track record of resourceful prototyping, piloting, and experimenting to get the right experience. It’s the way you facilitate intentional decision-making throughout the process.
- Highly collaborative team spirit able to take in multiple points of view, synthesize decisions, and communicate outcomes across the organization
- Mastery of design tools (especially Figma) and design system technology, with a deep understanding of design token best practices, versioning, performance optimization, and analytic
- A proven track record of influencing horizontally and managing a variety of stakeholders
- Confidence in cutting through ambiguity with a track record of creative problem-solving that demonstrates flexibility
- Experience and passion for galvanizing organizations/teams around insights, themes or POV
- Artistry and excellence in simplifying complex ideas, identifying risks and dependencies, and delivering for customers within the constraints of technology
- Practical design experience that shows strong ownership of or significant contribution to an existing product that impacts millions of customers
- Bonus points: You are an A.I. self-starter and experiment heavily in the space
