Job Overview

Come join our Tax Strategy and Compliance team. In this pivotal role, you will be a strategic leader, driving customer-centric tax strategies and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our products, processes, and services. You will leverage your deep tax expertise to influence product vision, shape roadmaps, and proactively address evolving tax regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive customer-centric tax strategies that span end-to-end experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams to influence and shape product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Lead the creation and implementation of scalable processes and reusable frameworks, including the design of new and renovation of existing, for global adoption
  • Represent Tax Strategy and Compliance team at cross-functional and inter-disciplinary meetings and reviews
  • Elevate the importance of a holistic end-to-end approach and awareness that helps the team and stakeholders connect dots across experiences, and aligns their work to the vision and direction of the business
  • Track proposed legislation, understand and clearly document potential implications to products and services and proactively communicate and recommend data-backed solutions
  • Monitor developments and advancements in the tax industry and related technologies, partners to influence the external landscape and proactively ensure our products and services maintain the highest standards of accuracy and compliance and for our customers
  • Partner with product leaders to evaluate proposed product features and enhancements, possibly in the form of requirements documentation, or roadmaps, balancing short and long term objectives and influencing for change
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a positive and collaborative culture by encouraging cross-domain solutions, facilitating the sharing of learnings and best practices, and empowering team members to drive decisions

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is: Southern California $170,500 - $230,500.

 

This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.

Qualifications

  • Deep tax expertise (credential and/or experience) and understanding of internal/external tax industry and related technology environment
  • Proven ability to develop and grow others, elevating expertise by mentoring and coaching junior team members
  • Demonstrated commitment to transparency and growth, actively sharing knowledge and expertise in service to collective team success
  • Proficiency in multiple income tax domains preferable
  • Strategic leadership and change management capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to research and document concisely with clear conclusions and recommendations
  • Collaborates and effectively communicates with senior leaders, including an ability to communicate complex issues simply and influence leaders at the highest levels
  • Must possess experience in developing clear and compelling business cases that support the prioritization of work.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Acts as a change agent and demonstrates thought leadership, demonstrated success in building programs from scratch from idea to execution, demonstrating the ability and willingness to handle multiple aspects of a new program to ensure success
  • Comprehensive understanding and use of software best practices is a plus
