Job Overview
Come join Mailchimp in the Product Development Operations team, as a Principal Technical Program Manager helping to drive our done for you experiences. This role is responsible for accelerating delivery of complex programs across the platform and partnering with our large customers. We are looking for a strategic, creative problem solver who can influence stakeholders across the organization, lead high-visibility high-impact programs end-to-end to deliver business results.

Portfolio:
● Strong strategic partnership with Engineering, Product Leaders and Customers to deliver amazing customer innovations with velocity and provide technical guidance and focus across an organization
● Ability to quickly come up to speed and scale large portfolio of high priority deliverables independently
● Ability to partner and work with customers on a one to one basis to understand pain points and develop plans of action to support their needs
● Understand the product and technology landscape and connect the dots across various programs within a portfolio to simplify the ‘why/what/how’
● Ability to implement durable program structure across portfolio, simplifying processes enabling the org to operate smoothly
●Partner with the Senior Leadership Team to unblock/guide program teams’ delivery
● Manage risks, issues, and escalations
● Strong communication skills providing portfolio progress to Senior Leader
Program:
● Flexibility to go deep when needed, applying repeatable program structure, executional rigor, and operational cadence to bring together complex, cross-organizational teams
● Drive creation of program roadmaps and execution plans across all phases of planning, development, and production readiness and launch '
● Collaborate with key stakeholders in executive teams, product management & engineering, and various cross-functional teams to effectively drive towards program outcomes
● Quickly and effectively, identify and clarify the critical issues and dependencies that need action and drive them through to closure. Communicate results clearly and in actionable form. Effectively balance business needs versus technical constraints
● Communicate progress across the organization and at all levels; includes program status, risks, dependencies and change control
● Partner with Business and Technology leaders to execute the strategy for one or more key programs across the Mailchimp platform.
● Drive multi-year multi-phase program roadmaps across multiple contributing teams.
● Develop program charters ensuring the scope aligns with business priorities.
● Develop & deliver program plans that encompass all phases of planning, implementation, production readiness and support defining a cross-functional program structure.
● Establish program operating rhythms leading cross-functional meetings and fostering teamwork. Quickly and effectively identify and clarify the critical few issues and drive appropriate decisions and actions. Communicate results clearly and in actionable form.
● Ability to develop and craft executive and program level recommendations to drive optimal business outcomes
● Ability to partner with tpms and org wide to drive operational excellence and highly rigorous best practices
● Communicate progress, report status, providing relevant insights across organizational boundaries and levels from individual contributor to senior executive.
● Manage and track program execution to ensure successful, high-quality, on-time delivery by working through risks, and interdependencies.
● Promote collaboration and coordination across broad categories of Stakeholders.
● Partner with business unit and platform product management, and product development leadership to identify benefits, short- and long-term trade-offs and balance the needs of all stakeholders.
● Anticipate, recognize, and work through resistance or setbacks independently.
● Work well with others when conflicts arise. See opportunities, ensure alignment with objectives, find common ground and promote understanding of alternative viewpoints before driving for closure and cooperation.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Southern California $206,550 - $279,500
This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
● 10+ years of Program Management experience, including 8 or more years leading multiple complex technology-focused programs
● Demonstrated ability to think end-to-end, lead long term programs and manage multiple programs simultaneously within a large portfolio.
● Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a complex & matrixed environment with the ability to influence at all levels.
● Outstanding communication and narrative building skills appropriate for executive-level audiences. Ability to communicate goals of programs, relationship to business goals in a succinct and easy to digest manner.
● Exceptional ability to build strong relationships and leverage those relationships to influence across organizational boundaries for delivery of best outcomes.
● Degree in engineering, computer science, information systems or equivalent experience.
● Good understanding of SaaS technologies or demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering teams on complex technology programs
