Job Overview
Join Intuit’s Consumer Group design team as a Senior Product Designer and create AI-powered, end-to-end experiences for millions of consumers. In this role you will be helping craft the design strategy and execution of the front doors and commercialization of the product through innovation and design craft to help our customers grow and thrive. You’ll work across functions, teams, and business units to create intuitive and scalable platform experiences.
Responsibilities
- Delivers frameworks, principles, and designs on a broad range of projects to accelerate large initiatives and align stakeholders across different teams and business units
- Works on scalable platform solutions with velocity and rigor by leveraging and contributing to our Intuit design system and innovating using new and existing tech capabilities
- Develops prototypes for evaluative research and works with other designers on ideal state prototypes
- Strong user and advocate of the design process. Knows when to use which tools and methodologies and actively teaches them to others
- Apply design thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize among user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms
- Operates independently to drive design in partnership with many stakeholders across Design, Development, Product Management, Data/Analytics, Service Design
- Able to influence a broad audience through strong narratives and visualizing ideas
- Use facilitative leadership skills to drive to the best outcome for stakeholders, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant fields; Masters preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Track record of delivering quality visual and interaction designs such as complex flows, detailed UI specs, on multiple projects within a project team or across teams
- Strong knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research
- Experienced in a variety of methods and processes including design thinking, innovation, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, design frameworks, concept visualization, problem-framing skills and design principles, and customer research
- Proven track record in setting a vision for great customer experiences, inspiring others to get behind the vision, and ultimately delivering products and services that are known for their delightful experience and ease of use
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships across teams, groups, and functions to deliver great results with velocity and rigor
- Organized, self-directed, efficient, and able to manage multiple and complex projects in a timely manner
- A passion for creating products that resonate on an emotional level
- Experience in leveraging and extending an established design system Strong online portfolio available for viewing
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $136000-184000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
