Intuit’s Consumer Group (CG) combines the power of TurboTax and Credit Karma, providing tax preparation for individuals and businesses along with a marketplace of financial products. The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team at Consumer Group is responsible for strategic financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of the business unit. The FP&A team plays a unique and critical role in driving business decisions and optimizing long-range financial outcomes for CG.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for developing strategies that accelerate the growth of our consumer platform and offerings, identifying new growth opportunities, and partnering with business leaders to drive successful execution.  Key focus areas include Product innovation in our Core TurboTax offerings -  involving growth strategies in product monetization, AI feature deployment, Mobile App optimizations, & shopping/onboarding.  Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Development of our annual strategic and financial plan for Core Product priorities
  • Proactively identifying growth acceleration and business improvement opportunities by building a deep understanding of our business drivers, our ongoing performance, and external market dynamics
  • Development of growth strategies for new offerings, customer segments, and business models
  • Optimization of investment allocation to balance short and long-term growth objectives
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to formulate strategy, ensure stakeholder alignment, and ongoing partnership and guidance as teams test and operationalize to refine execution
  • Creating narratives and presentations to articulate our strategy & business trajectory to drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Intuit’s Board of Directors and investor community)

This role will mirror the work at top strategy consulting firms and investment banks, but with an emphasis on driving tangible impact in close collaboration with product and business leaders. Our team has significant exposure to senior leaders across Intuit, and takes pride in and ownership of both strategy and guiding successful business execution. Qualifications

As our team works closely with various partners at all levels, it is essential that the candidate be able to quickly establish rapport, credibility, and respect throughout the organization at all levels.  We are looking for a creative problem solver with an ability to connect the dots between numerous sources of information, and a strong desire to drive tangible business impact. The ideal candidate is ready and able to exercise a range of classical strategy disciplines: analytical thinking, competitive / market intelligence, external benchmarking, business case development, storyboarding / narrative creation, framing, influencing, change management, and more. Part thought-partner, part influencer, and part-doer, to be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • 7+ years of experience, including at least 3 years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or investment banking. Experience in the technology or consumer finance industry is a plus
  • A customer-first mindset and understanding of customer behavior
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of portfolio dynamics and drivers, with an ability to quickly and accurately build, comprehend, and manipulate complex financial models and analyses
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, intellectual curiosity, and personal accountability with a commitment to driving outcomes
  • A proactive can-do attitude, a self starter who is comfortable working independently and with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to quickly synthesize qualitative and quantitative information, structure a concise and clear presentation of findings, and articulate recommendations to an executive audience
  • Well-rounded interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships with senior stakeholders and collaborate across with team members across varying levels; ability to influence outcomes without direct authority

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $133,500 - 181,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
