Job Overview

Come join Intuit’s Partnerships team in Australia within the Global Business Solution Group (GBSG). Based in Sydney, we are looking for a dynamic, energetic individual to execute our strategy for partners, bring in top-tier partners to the Intuit  ecosystem while building long term, strategic relationships with those partners in order to grow the Intuit small business ecosystem. You will be responsible for leading our partnership efforts in APAC, while supporting stakeholders within our APAC team and across the global Intuit organization. The candidate should also be a primary source for bringing industry and competitive insights to the leadership team, is a key member in driving decisions regarding new opportunities, and will work closely with senior leaders across the division, company and externally. This is a high visibility role within Intuit, and an excellent opportunity to help drive our evolution into an open platform company.

The successful candidate will have excellent business acumen, ideally has 8+ years in strategy, Partnership or Consulting capacity and with a track record of driving growth via strategic product partnerships. The candidate must have the ability and desire to mentor and coach fellow team members and work across multiple time zones.

Additional skills include the ability to develop a compelling business case, influence the organization to prioritize and resource strategic opportunities and the ability to negotiate complex deals with large and small third parties.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and support our overall partnership strategy and execution in order to grow both the Mailchimp and Quickbooks ecosystem across the APAC markets.
  • Identify and influence opportunities which support the business’s strategic priorities, evaluate the benefits, and work with all cross-functional areas of the company to execute on the relationships
  • Experience of clearing roadblocks, celebrating successes, and using operating mechanisms to continually assess progress and improve
  • Negotiate and execute contracts - thorough understanding of commercials, pricing and upside.
  • Providing financial and business analysis that will form the foundation for M&A and partnership strategic rationale, target selection and deal justification
  • Developing short, medium, and long-term plans based on our partnership objectives and work cross functionally with our US and AU-based marketing, product, sales and care teams to achieve our goals
  • Delivering a phenomenal user experience for our customers by working with our product and design teams
  • Help make Intuit the “partner of choice” for strategic partners in the small business space
  • Monitor business results, making recommendations for improvements to increase app adoption for Partners and Intuit
  • Establish rules of engagement for internal partnership teams to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Drive regular interactions between partnership teams and senior leaders

Qualifications

  • Track record as an exceptional driver of results in either a product management or business development role (noting this is not a sales role)
  • Strong strategic thinker with a background in Consulting, Strategy or Banking
  • Incredible senior gravitas – impressive story teller to bring senior leaders onside and instill confidence
  • A people leader, with high empathy, gravitas, and communication
  • Experience marketing or selling products or services in a rapidly evolving environment across multiple time zones and cultures
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and a polished presenter
  • Experience in fintech or martech a plus
  • Super motivated and hands-on team player, persistent and results oriented
  • MBA or equivalent experience
