Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and results-driven Principal, Business Development for our Corporate Business Development team, specifically joining our Data-In Team.

This individual will play a leadership role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing strategic data partnerships in our international markets outside of the U.S. that drive substantial value for Intuit and accelerate our growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

For our Data-In strategy and execution this includes, but is not limited to:

Continuously evaluate our approach to how to consume data into our core products, challenging assumptions and bringing new perspectives on achieving product and business objectives

  • Developing or leveraging deep industry relations knowledge, understanding data ecosystems, regulatory bodies and key industry players
  • Driving accretive and outsized value within our International regions. Challenge our status quo consistently with the end customer at the front of mind
  • Cultivate relationships and influence key decision-makers internally and at partner organizations. Proactively identify potential barriers and display creativity and persistence in working through setbacks to achieve optimal outcomes for Intuit
  • Serve as the end-to-end owner for contract negotiations, leveraging deep expertise, data-driven insights, and strong emotional intelligence to navigate challenging discussions and secure favorable terms for Intuit while maintaining strong partner relationships
  • Establish yourself as a trusted thought partner to business unit stakeholders and actively share expertise and best practices. Influence the team's strategic direction, anticipate objections, and proactively address concerns to secure buy-in and drive initiatives forward
  • Build and contribute to a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, results-orientation, and a deep commitment to partnership success

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of overall experience with 5+ years specifically in building strategic partnerships or business development within the financial services and/or technology industry, with a strong preference for SaaS or platform company experience
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Consumer Driven Banking (CDB) Framework highly desirable; with an understanding of Open Data/Banking frameworks across LATAM and EMEA also of keen interest
  • Proven track record of independently sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, multi-faceted partnerships with large strategic enterprises that delivered significant and quantifiable results
  • Experience managing a portfolio of strategic partnerships, including developing robust joint business plans, tracking performance metrics against established KPIs, and consistently exceeding growth targets
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence executives at all levels, build strong relationships with external partners, and inspire internal stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and a data-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, identify the critical path to success, and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, proactively defining strategies, initiating ideas, and driving initiatives forward with minimal guidance
