Job Overview

TurboTax Canada is looking for a skilled content designer with a passion for crafting

compelling, user-centric content that drives engagement and conversion. The ideal

candidate will have experience in both content design and UX writing, with a strong focus on creating clear content across all in-app and customer-facing touchpoints.

You’ll be responsible for the entire content lifecycle, from strategy and creation to implementation and optimization, ensuring content aligns with business goals and user needs. If you're skilled at creating clear, persuasive in-product and customer-facing experiences, and ready to showcase product value while ensuring a seamless user journey, we want you on our team!

To achieve success in this role, you excel at collaborating with cross-functional partners. You ask insightful questions that uncover gaps and propel teams forward. You move easily between big-picture thinking and fine tuning details. You’re great at communicating, explaining your reasoning, and advocating for the user. And, of course, you’re an excellent writer!

Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with PMs, designers, researchers, and engineers at all stages of the product development process — from ideas to optimizations.
  • Contribute your expertise to product strategy and vision: not just “how it should look,” but “what should we build?”.
  • Shape product experiences through information architecture, content hierarchy, usability principles, accessibility, and other best practices.
  • Work closely with Tax experts and compliance partners to finetune language where needed.
  • Write human UX content that is clear, consistent, concise, and engaging.
  • Create and collaborate on user flows, communications, test prototypes, research questions, and more.
  • Bring your keen sense of usability to participate in design sprints for new products, helping define flows and features.
  • Continuously evaluate content performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve engagement
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices related to content design and development

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of B2C writing experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in writing and editing content with keen attention to detail and timelines
  • Strong prioritization, organizational, and project management abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of implementing style, voice, tone, and content patterns to build consistent brand communication
  • Proficient in integrating user feedback and customer insights into content design using storytelling techniques
  • Experience with information architecture, including maintaining and contributing to navigation hierarchies
  • Understanding of content strategy processes to enhance content efficiency and effectiveness
  • Familiarity with content systems and tools to manage content delivery, track changes, and resolve issues
