Mailchimp solves one of the largest challenges small businesses face – getting and growing customers. For two-thirds of small businesses, finding new customers is their biggest obstacle and over 25% struggle to retain existing ones. 13M businesses use Mailchimp to grow their business, and the combination of QuickBooks and Mailchimp will enable the next horizon of transformative innovation. Through the combined offering, small businesses will be able to grow and manage their business with one platform, enabling Mailchimp to offer unparalleled performance to its customers.

We are looking for a Head of Sales and Partner Readiness to lead an organization focused on empowering both our customer and partner facing organization as well as our ecosystem of external partners. You and your team will provide online resources, training and certification to enable success and growth on the Mailchimp platform, including the Academy platform for certification. You will lead enablement for Mailchimp’s customer facing teams to equip them with the skills and capabilities needed as advisors to acquire and grow our customer base.   You will also design and execute a plan that supports our ecosystem of marketing agencies and other service partners to win and grow their business with Mailchimp.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Serve as a strategic leader of a 20+ person organization. Attract and develop best in class talent while leading a high performing, inclusive team culture.
  • Business transformation: Support the transformation of our business and teams with the most innovative, scaled approaches of empowering internal teams and partners
    • Foster an innovative culture that utilizes new technologies such as GenAI to innovate learning experiences and increase time to market
    • Bring best-in-class approaches to enablement through digital, instructor-led and peer/coaching based learning experiences – helping scale our efforts
  • Strategic planning and execution: Develops and executes on global one-and three-year strategic plans.
    • Set the strategic vision for shaping and aligning our enablement plans with the needs of the business.
    • Oversee the execution of initiatives to drive productivity and outcomes from both customer/partner facing teams and our partners. Constantly identify opportunities to increase velocity of execution and time to impact.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with multiple teams across the organization (e.g., Product Marketing, Analytics, Quickbooks Readiness team, etc.)  to understand readiness needs, design, implement and track impact of role-based enablement paths for Sales, Customer Success, Partner development.  Ensure team’s efforts are aligned to the company’s most strategic priorities and champion shared metrics.
  • Lead Data-driven Insight and Continuous Improvement – Obsess over customer/partner impact and feedback from internal teams, using data to track impact and provide insights for drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in sales and partner readiness and enablement, preferably with global experience
  • Experience as a strategic leader managing a world-class multi-functional and multilayered team with demonstrated experience driving transformation
  • Experience scaling readiness programs with an innovation mindset
  • Demonstrated success influencing across matrixed organizations
  • Strong executive presence and communication
  • Customer and data obsessed with a focus on continuous improvement and feedback cycles
  • Mentorship and modeling the skills and behaviors to lead with a clear vision, build a high performance culture and drive winning results
  • Previous Sales experience highly preferred
