Job Overview
Intuit is seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative with 3-6 years of proven prospecting and pre-sales experience in the Data as a Service (DaaS) industry. The ideal candidate must have a strong track record in selling risk data to Credit/Underwriting/Risk/Finance organizations in Fortune 50-500 companies. The candidate should have a deep understanding of risk decisioning, KYC, KYB in the SMB space, and an ability to identify and articulate the value proposition to prospective clients.
The candidate will be responsible for generating and developing new business opportunities through prospecting, cold outreach efforts, and building relationships with key decision-makers in targeted accounts. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing the sales pipeline and ensuring successful customer handoff to the Business Development Team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication, organizational skills, and a deep passion for providing clients with valuable insights and solutions to mitigate risks in their business.
As a Business Development Representative, your primary responsibility will be to generate sales opportunities to drive incremental revenue for Intuit. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business prospects through research, outreach, and networking.
Responsibilities
- Proactively reach out to target accounts to generate interest and qualify prospects for sales opportunities
- Conduct research to identify potential new customers, markets, and sales opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers through regular communication and follow-up
- Understand the needs and pain points of potential customers, and suggest appropriate products and services to meet those needs
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences, and leverage these opportunities to network and generate leads
- Work closely with the x-functional teams including Marketing, Analytics, Product, Engineering, Legal and Finance
- Collaborate with the sales team to facilitate a seamless handoff of qualified leads, and support them in their efforts to close on contracts
- Use SalesForce to track and manage sales activity, and provide regular reports to management on progress and results
Qualifications
- Have a deep understanding of risk decisioning, KYC/KYB in the SMB space, and an ability to identify and articulate the value proposition to prospective clients.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with prospects and customers is essential
- Sales-Driven Mindset: The ability to identify new business opportunities and close deals with customers is crucial
- Technical Aptitude: Understanding the technical aspects of the products/services being sold and the industry as a whole is important
- Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and prospects is critical to the success of a Business Development/Pre-Sales role
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for growth is essential
- Analytical Skills: Understanding data, metrics, and analytics to make informed decisions and optimize strategies is important.
- Teamwork: Collaboration with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to ensure a cohesive approach to business development and pre-sales efforts is necessary
- Problem Solving: The ability to identify and solve problems quickly is an important skill in a Business Development/Pre-Sales role
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $137500 - $186000, Colorado $116500 - $157500, Bay Area California $140000 - 190000, Southern California $128500 - 173500, Washington $122500 - $165500, Washington D.C. $116500 - $157500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
