Responsibilities
The Intuit for Education team, part of Corporate Responsibility, is focused on helping future generations be better prepared for jobs and life through the development of personal and entrepreneurial finance skills. We believe that every learner, regardless of their zip code, deserves the opportunity to be financially confident, which is why Intuit for Education provides free curriculum, resources, and support to help any student anywhere find what they need to build their financial future.
The Staff Events Program Manager is a part of the Corporate Responsibility Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for building the vision, strategy, and executing on education events for the team, including events ranging from large awareness events to smaller scale engagement events. A core responsibility of this role will be to develop a scalable events strategy as priorities grow. Events are a crucial part of the strategy to help us reach more students and educators who can benefit from our programs, including Intuit for Education and the Food Truck Program.
Responsibilities
- Drive events end-to-end (E2E) across core marketing and program priorities. Able to “roll up sleeves” to deliver events independently, as well as with agency management.
- Build strategies for each event or event series to rally cross-functional stakeholders behind the vision that deliver on business objectives and priorities.
- Develop an efficient scalable event strategy for Corporate Responsibility that allows us to scale our priority programs given a nimble team with modest budget
- Lead integrated project teams (of all sizes) to create and drive event experiences, which may include concept, vision, comms, web, registration, programming, visual design, event tech, video content, and related logistics, working in partnership with marketing, programs, and content teams
- Build and manage workback plan and cross-functional timelines, detailed project plans, and workstream requirements; act as the source of truth for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and manage/execute end-to-end event logistics including budgeting, venue, agency (if applicable), calendaring/scheduling, speaker prep, contracts, vendors, deliverables tracking, food and beverage, and more.
- Build and maintain key leadership and stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
- Effectively manage resources to deliver against competing projects. Identify and problem solve resourcing risks. Surface and drive trade off conversations
- Demonstrate business impact via clearly outlined goals for each event experience, as well as tracking and reporting post event (e.g. runs retrospectives). Shows rigor towards leveraging analytics and data to inform recommendations for overall strategy.
This role will report to the head of marketing for Corporate Responsibility and Intuit for Education.
Qualifications
- 7+ years experience running events end-to-end (from strategy to execution)
- Experience driving both strategy and execution for events with a creative mindset for bold visionary event experiences that delight attendees
- Excellent project management and program management skills
- Strategic thinker and creative problem-solver, ability to bring strategic objectives to life through event experiences
- Deep event project management expertise, with ability to develop and maintain workback plans and timelines, budgets, and end-to-end project plans
- Proven ability to drive informed, context-based decisions with a passion for the customer
- Proven expertise in leading complex projects and events running simultaneously and managing multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Excellent collaborator, with a team-first mindset and ability to thrive working in flexible, shifting environments with moving targets based on business needs
- Ability to demonstrate how events align with and make an impact on key business drivers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 15-25% travel
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $151000 - $204000, Colorado $129000 - $174500, Bay Area California $149000-201500, Southern California $137000-186000, Washington $135000 - $183000, Washington D.C. $129000 - $174500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
